Whenever I run an adventure I like to focus it around a central idea. I had one where the party was riddled with characters that hated eachother but had to cooperate to achive their individual objectives. Right now I'm running a super heavy combat series basically each session is one huge fight that nearly kills everybody but so far they're level 5 and everybody has ding'ed every session (we only play for 2 or 3 hours at a time) For my next adventure with these guys I wanted to do something totally differen't, next to no combat maybe only one or two fights in whole adventure, I like the idea of running a horror adventure. I was thinking maybe they get stuck in like a minning town up in the mountains and everybody is missing but they can't get out for some reason, evil artifact uncovered in the mine poisoning everybody or something along those lines but I need a game mechanic I can use to keep it interesting and give peoples the feeling of accomplishment. Any ideas or suggestions? |
