Challenge ratings for UA bloodlines? [Archive] - Wizards Community

The villains in my campaign are lawful evil Drow who have turned away from Lolth and have instead formed a cult dedicated to the worship of Levistus. They are pretty unpopular with the rest of the Drow, to say the least (infidels!). Anyhow, a few of the higher ranking members of the cult have the Devil Bloodline from Unearthed Arcana. How does this affect their challenge rating (if at all)?? UA doesn't give any specific info on this. I have been just assuming that a minor bloodline adds +1 to the CR, that an intermediate bloodline adds +2 to CR, and that a major bloodline adds +3 to CR. Does anyone know if there is an "official" rule on this? Or does anyone know a good play-tested house rule on this? What I've been doing seems to be working fine so far, but I was just curious.
Thanks...

Bloodlines levels are class levels and balance thusly. They are monsters with class levels aka CR + Class levels. Nothing fancy. Just add a class and opt out the class level at the bloodline level and instead they just get the bloodline level without other benefit.

Bloodlines are simply ways to gradually institute new ablities on your character in exchange for a level adjustment ("bloodline levels" my ***).
