benmoule101 03-13-07, 06:02 PM	Whenreading the forgotten realms source book I came accross the idea of a non dragon learning to first use a shapeshift ability to take on a draconic alternate form, then to possess dragons, eventually leaving her own body entirely behind, and moving from dragon to dragon, possessing them. I was hoping to use an idea like this, but I was looking for a why that the creature sould achieve this, so that it didn't seem like a total DM put up job. If you see what I mean? I don't really like saying that a thing can happen merely cause I need it to have done, if it can't normally. Thanks Ben
Cyanide300 03-13-07, 09:14 PM	Some Druids learn to take on draconic forms. It wouldn't be a really far stretch to explain that with a druid who was corrupted by power and fascinated by necromantic magic (which has spells for soul stealing and switching, etc)
MourninStar 03-13-07, 10:24 PM	Have the BBEG (since I assume that's what the dragon possessor is) find an artifact that lets him do it. The Dungeon Master's Guide has the various Dragon Orbs; you could adapt one of those fairly easily. This also gives you extra plot hooks down the road; i.e, the players have to find some way to destroy said artifact, or maybe the one the PCs ran into was just the tip of the iceberg...
