| RobinH08-13-06, 02:17 PM | What happens if a character seduces another character to worship a deferent god that is apposed in alignment? Can he cast spells under that god's power and us class abilitys? |
| Delfedd08-13-06, 02:22 PM | I would rule that they loose their old spells, and until they gain an atonement from their god (old or new) they cannot cast or use class abilities. |
| Archmage Atrus08-13-06, 04:22 PM | The previous poster is basically what happens. You stop worshipping one deity, he stops granting powers. You then have to change alignments and atone with the new guy (I would call this a non-XP-costing atonement, as he's not really done anything "Willingly wrong" [the deity would see him as being ignorant of the truth, not willfully wrongheaded]) to gain full spellcasting access. (You can, however, ignore the atonement requirement, as I would consider it more of a formality.) If he wants to go back to his old deity, then he definitely needs to have atonement cast. (And that would cost XP.) |
| green_yawgmoth08-13-06, 07:09 PM | Depends on the deity, really. A chaotic god, and more likely an evil god (and most certainly a CE god) would most likely start granting class abilities and spells the moment you convert, whereas a lawful and/or good god would probably require some show of loyalty and/or true change of heart beforehand, like an atonement spell or the like. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v91/yawgmoth/kittyjig.gif |
