Char background questions [Archive] - Wizards Community

My players will have to make a background story for their character. To help them, I would like to have a set of questions that will guide them to create their background. Things like:

- Explain about your family (still living ? Where ? ...)
- Why did you choose this 'orientation' (the character class in fact)
- What motivates you to go into adventuring
- Where did you learn your current 'skills'

If anybody has some good questions to ask, it would be nice

10-17-06, 02:51 PM If you really want some background questions, then there's two WotC books you might want to check out. (WotC? Hey, they got some things right:) ) The Hero Builder's Guidebook for 3rd edition is pretty good background-wise, and the Player's Handbook II has some interesting ideas.
