So I was wondering if someone could recommend a good table for character flaws. I thought play would be more interesting in this campaign if each character randomly rolled a flaw.

Thanks

Pick up a copy of Unearthed Arcana. It has a section on character flaws. Also, I can recommend the Skills and Powers book from AD&D 2nd edition, if you can find a copy; I remember it had a really great chapter on character flaws.

Unearthed Arcana has flaws aplenty. Just remember that when a player takes a flaw out of there, they get a bonus feat to balance things out.

don't know.. maybe isn't better if you ask them to choose a flaw? i mean, let's say some player comes out with a cool fighter he can't wait to play with and roll a flaw like "cowardice"? it can ruins out a concept with just a die roll, specially if you make sure that he roleplays it all the time

I know there are books with them listed but I was wondering if someone else had maybe come across one that was homemade? Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of money to spend right now so buying another book is a last resort method.

Well, you can use the flaws in UA (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/buildingCharacters/characterFlaws.htm), or my houserule (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=562139), for example.

IIRC, GURPS has a rather large list of flaws. I don't use UA, one reason being that I don't like the way the feat-for-flaw mechanic is done.

I guess it depends on if you want the characters to have serious flaws, or minor quirks that they roleplay.

There is a post in the UA foum full of homemade flaws and traits. Google it, or post asking for it in that board.
