I'm partial to the new ones, they are 4 pages but I like them...

Just out of curiosity, what about the standard 3.5 character sheet is problematic? One would have a hard time suggesting any course of action without such crucial information.

Did you take a look at that side button which says Character Sheets (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/charactersheets)? :)

I use the encounter block provided in Dungeon Magazine and newer sourcebooks.

Easy to look things up during combat, and more stylish than a normal character sheet. (especially if you spend a moment or two on elfwood or WotC's artgallery, to place a picture of your character)

I sat down with a PHB, a deluxe character sheet, and MSPaint, and started making my own. IMO, they're quite stylish and can hold alot of information. I recommend it, if you can't find one to your taste.

The 3.5 Char sheets are severely lacking in the area of psionics....

50 hours?!? Try it with your monitor turned on, it'll be much easier. ;)

In the meantime, look into the sheets by Mad Irishman. They are pretty decent.

If you fill in psionics in the area that's normally filled with spells and you just fill in your power point reserve up where the school normally is (you won't need this space if you don't multiclass) a normal 3.5 character sheet is good enough for psionics too.

To get back to the OP, maybe try the SSA-X2 character sheets.. it's 7 pages, but I always find it really great to write whatever I want in them without running out of space too quickly.. Except for prepared spells, but those I wouldn't fill in in a character sheet anyway, just use a blank sheet for that :P

Edit: I would print out the SSA-X2 sheet, not fill it in on the computer, it's possible but not very handy.

Has MadIrishman gotten his links fixed? The last several times that I've been to his site, most of his links were broken.

Nevermind, I answered my own question. Mad-Irishman.net has the best character sheets I've ever seen. Each is customizable in Adobe Acrobat by mixing and matching layers to make whatever you want.

I think this one is best.

I like the official sheets but Mad Irishman sheets are great too.

For Spell list sheets:

IMO there are no better spell sheets.

I never liked the sheets they had. I made one myself that my group swears by, and a few people on the internet liked. If you don't like it no big deal you can keep looking for one.

http://www.geocities.com/sphyre_san/misc/Jonsheet.pdf

Basically I have on the first sheet:

Combat Statistics (HP, Buffs Etc)
Defenses (Any number you'll need in response to being attacked)
Attacks (Any numbers you'll need to attack people
Feats/Class Abilities
Skills

Second page:

Character description (Why put it on the first page if it's referenced the least often?)
Character Wealth
Character inventory
Companion (Such as cohort, familiar, or Animal Companion)
Experience/Classes
Notes/Misc

Basically, it's designed to have the most pertinent information on the first page, and the lesser referenced stuff on the second page.

Hope you like it. If not, no biggie. It only took me a few hours in paint to make. Yes, you heard me right. Paint. I made it in paint. Yes I am crazy. I just know how to use it really well for something as simple as a character sheet.

I fail to detect any problem here.

I tried to fix that in mine. I even have the skills in it.

Second page:
Character description
Character Wealth
Character inventory
Companion (Such as cohort, familiar, or Animal Companion)
Experience/Classes
Notes/Misc

Agree. IMO, the Page 1 of the 2-page official sheet is perfectly fine, with only 2 flaws (Perform CAN be used untrained, and energy resists need a space). I use Excel to create a 2nd page for each of my players, & spells go on a third page.

Only if you're playing a Psion/Erudite Knowledge(monkey) is the skill section inadequate. There are 3 or 4 extra skill slots on the sheet.
