characters and wealth [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-09-06, 03:18 PM Does everybody use the wealth tables found in the DMG? I feel that my characters are totally überpowered after 10th level by using those tables, and am in a bit of a loss about what to do. Even at early level I feel that they have way too much wealth...
Do you use other tables, or no tables at all? Please help

09-09-06, 03:20 PM No I use a much lower wealth per level as well as low magic in general.

09-09-06, 03:22 PM I don't follow the tables religiously but I give the characters equipment a look-over once in a while to make sure they are somewhere around the suggested wealth level.

Just keep in mind that if you decide to give the players less loot, you probably should adjust CRs accordingly, unless there is something else that compensates (higher than normal stats, action points etc).
