Ok here is the scenerio. A paladine, on mount, chares a huge giant. the paladines reach is 10, the giants 15. I rule that the giant gets an attack of oppurtunity, since the paladine hass to move out of a threatened square to compleate the charge. paladine, and others, go off becouse charges are listed as imune from attacks of opportunity. How does reach work with charging? How about when charging past an opponent with reach?

If it says in the discription that a charge is ammune to AoO's, then they are, regardless of reach.

Charges are immune to AoOs? Not according to the SRD (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/combat/specialAttacks.htm#charge)...

If they want charges to be immune to AoOs as a houserule, there's not too much wrong with that, but it does substantially weaken reach-based combatants. Remind them that a spear-user gets an AoO against a charging swordsman, so the 15-foot reach logically should win out over the 10-foot reach.

Up to you though. Rule 0 > SRD.

Could you be neglecting to say that the paladin has ride by attack?

Charge in and of itself does not provoke an AoO, but the movement during a charge may provoke one much like regular movement. This is pretty basic stuff, please say they were assuming you knew they had some special feat like spring attack or ride by attack...
