| Kearif02-15-07, 02:56 PM | I'm looking for characters that you won't even tell your DM about, because you already know that there is no way in any reality that he'd/she'd let you play it. I'll be submitting mine slowly through out the thread so everybody else can set the tempo. Don't forget to number and please no 17a, 17b, ... All characters must be legally buildable in D&D 3.5. Max level is 20. All races, classes, prestige classes, and alignments are allowed. Here's my first one Oaenbaer "Twisted Tree" Gnome Druid 20 NG This aged Gnome has a problem, he keeps calling squirral animal companions and then he awakens them. As a result he has many intellgent squirral followers, one of each character class. |
| Some_call_me_Tim02-15-07, 03:21 PM | 2. Anyone who gets character ideas from a thread titled: "1001 Character That No Sane DM Would Allow." |
| Pangeon02-15-07, 03:24 PM | 3. Pun-Pun. (Hah! I said it first!) |
| Ryusage02-15-07, 03:53 PM | 3. Pun-Pun. (Hah! I said it first!) Ooh... Beat me to it...:D |
| Far_Traveler02-15-07, 04:11 PM | 4. Hulking Hurler |
| Fatalis_90202-15-07, 04:22 PM | 3. Pun-Pun. (Hah! I said it first!) DARN IT, PANGEON! I was gonna say that. Oh well... 5. Nup-nup. (So THERE!) |
| snakeman83002-15-07, 04:25 PM | 6. Balor and, if you were talking class levels and not HD 7. Balor scorcerer10/fighter10 |
| Thanqol02-15-07, 09:00 PM | 7. Balor scorcerer10/fighter10 That's actually fairly terrible, optimization-wise. He's epic level and casts spells as a 10th level sorcerer? |
| Keiichi_m02-15-07, 10:17 PM | 8. Githzerai Monk with a VoP "What!? I can't hear you over your 54 AC!" |
| Siduakal02-15-07, 10:45 PM | 9. Wizard with Tarasque Familiar |
| Melpomene02-15-07, 11:04 PM | 10.) Brain inna Jar. |
| rice83002-15-07, 11:10 PM | VoP Monk in a no/ low magic world. Me! Haha! ...I win. |
| johnkretzer02-16-07, 12:59 AM | 11: A CE Frenzied Berserker who is in it just for the kill. |
| Cold Napalm02-16-07, 01:05 AM | 12) Planar shepherd... |
| MeklorIlavator02-16-07, 01:53 AM | 13)Master Specialist(abj)/initiate of the 7fold viel |
| Callista02-16-07, 02:19 AM | 14. CG Drow ranger. |
| bhu02-16-07, 03:52 AM | 15) Naked human barbarian wielding a dead squirrel |
| Boraxe02-16-07, 10:53 AM | 16) A dual scimiatr wielding good-aligned drow ranger who is most certainly not based on Drizzt in any way. 17) Anything based on an anime character. Ever. Period. |
| snakeman83002-16-07, 11:04 AM | That's actually fairly terrible, optimization-wise. He's epic level and casts spells as a 10th level sorcerer? Don't forget Balor's have some nice spell-like abilities of their own, a couple of which are 5th level spells (telekinesis), not castable until 10th level anyway, so that's not a big deal. Except that it isn't limeted on the majority of it's spell-like abilities. When it quickens telekinesis, it's mimicking at least a 17th level scorcerer. Plus, he trades in some spellcasting ability for quadruple the skill points , double the B.A.B, and two more good saves. Throw in the unique abilities and you've got a very formidable opponent. If you think this is a bad idea, then switch out the scorcerer levels for fighter or vice-versa and wah-lah, it is good. |
| ZiggZagg02-16-07, 11:20 AM | 18. Kobold Bard Ok sing your inspire confidence "Chirp, creak, insert other annoying sounds from a little crocodile dragon wanna-be" |
| Sajek02-16-07, 11:43 AM | 19. "I want to make my character blind." BAM! Said it first! |
| tankschmidt02-16-07, 12:06 PM | 18. Kobold Bard Ok sing your inspire confidence "Chirp, creak, insert other annoying sounds from a little crocodile dragon wanna-be" "Hey, Boss!! Doom, doom, doom..." |
| roninwolf10902-16-07, 05:52 PM | 20. A Paladin with VoP. (Well, okay my DM has more or less banned VoP after my Paladin. The funny part was I wasn't even TRYING to break the character. I think my lowest save was like a 18 at 12th level) |
| Kearif02-16-07, 05:56 PM | This is not just a optimizing thread, it is also for insanely wierd characters. You lot are doiong great with the optimizing but lets have some real fun, okay. Also, i'm seeing lot of Character CONCEPTS but no CHARACTERS, Make them characters, give them names, races, alignments, and some depth! If you're having trouble remembering that here's a template. And What the  is Pun-Pun!? name race class level alignment depth, story, personality, background, info and all those other thing that make a character a character! |
| Fatalis_90202-16-07, 06:17 PM | Pun-Pun is a theoretical exercise in optimization. He is the most powerful character ever, currently a level 1 human ardent, I believe. |
| Elsydeon02-16-07, 07:22 PM | A monk with no arms. ... My DM's just not quite sane. Nor is my group. Hehe, I make a normal PC, they make at least one cripple. |
| Siduakal02-16-07, 07:34 PM | 22. A War Troll Barbarian named 'Thud' who wields a great club, walks around with a flower collection (Y'know, closed into books), reads "See Spot Run" books to try to learn to read, is afraid of the dark, and has a little blind girl he takes care of. (This was a char I played.. he was insanely powerful, but I roleplayed him as a very nice and completely oblivious character.. He once got bit by this really nasty Undead creature that was slimy and such... He bit it back.) |
| TwiddleStootch02-16-07, 07:36 PM | 23) The Half-Giant Half-Dragon Half-Celestial with the Major Demon Bloodline :D Or, better yet! 24) A Half-Dragon Balor who changed alignment with a Atonement spell and then became a Half-Celestial :D And I believe he would have 3 pair of wings :p |
| snakeman83002-16-07, 08:47 PM | And What the  is Pun-Pun!? Pun-Pun is the impossibly strong (yet still legal) Kobold Divine Minion 1/Wizard 1/ master of many forms 3. I'd give you a link to the massively long description, but I don't have the adress. In short, he can literally pick up a mountian and beat you over the head with it from five miles away if he likes. and TwiddleStootch, perhaps you need a refresher that half-celestial is INHERITED. Okay, how's this: 25: Xill Fighter/Dervish wielding four longswords of speed named Greivous, an ex-general in the Xill military because he "went soft" and is now trying to regain his version of honor. I will tell you right now that this guy is a living buzzsaw and yes, I have played him. |
| YamiSouru02-16-07, 09:23 PM | pun-pun is ecl 13 charactor thatwhile being completely legal has limitless statsd and can hit you with a melee strike from wherever in the planes he so desires. also he uses a good deal of psionics to achieve this i beleive. Anyway as for what i myself would not allow. anything with a +3 lvl modifier or more. but thats because i feel sorry for players with that few hp. |
| snakeman83002-16-07, 09:35 PM | pun-pun is ecl 13 charactor thatwhile being completely legal has limitless statsd and can hit you with a melee strike from wherever in the planes he so desires. also he uses a good deal of psionics to achieve this i beleive. Essentia investments for the unlimited reach and speed (using the special features of Dusklings and Umbral Disciples from Magic of Incarnum that he gains access to through his MOMF level). |

I will tell you right now that this guy is a living buzzsaw and yes, I have played him. I am going out on a limb here and guessing that you tried to emulate General Grevious from Ep. III. Just a little FYI, that would be a LE Iron Half-Golem from MMII. Also, he would have the following feats-Exotic Weapon Proficiency(Bastard Sword), Monkey Grip (Bastard Sword), Oversized Multiweapon Fighting, and Multiweapon Fighting. Translated-He would be quad-wielding large sized bastard swords (2d8 each) and would take penalties as if they were all light weapons. I like the idea of making them all bastard swords of speed...at BAB +11, with good stats and appropriate feats, that would be 16 attacks. Back on topic: 26:Any Frenzied Berzerker at all. It's simply not fair to the other players. How would you feel if you always had to run every time your buddy goes "RAWR!"? |
| snakeman83002-16-07, 09:49 PM | I've only got a few books at my disposal (PHB, MM, DMG, CA, Drac). But I like how you think here. And you are guessing correctly. Which book is Monkey grip in anyway? Oh yeah, you think he's good with BAB of +11, wait until he hits +20 and gains P.M.W.F. (20 attacks, all doing 2D8 damage) Oh yeah, make sure he has weapon focus and specilization feats for Bastard swords as well as Improved critical. If you want to lose the speed quality (dropping his total attack number down by 4), give him a necklace of antimagic field. He makes little chunks out of magic-reliant foes. Just one question, did you forget DERVISH LEVELS? (yes, they are in the original post) No penalties from fighting with more than one light weapon. Note: this will make a great boss for campaigns if anyone wants to borrow the idea. 27. Drathir Dark halfling rouge7/shadowsmith 4. With the only item boosting her hide and move silently checks is her shadowsilk leather armor (it's not even enhanced at all) and without activating the shadowsmith class feature, her hide modifier is 33 and move silently is 28. Add in the HIPS and she is difficult at best to find. My next thing to do with her is to actually get some items that boost these even further (even if it is just Gloves of Dex) In any case, I drive my DM nuts as the enemies try to figure out where those incredibly painful bolts keep coming from. |

Ring of Invisibility/Greater Invisibility, add the special qualities to your armour that increase Hide and Move Silently. Also, just gonna tell you...I once had an ECL 12 character who rolled a 102 (with armour and Ring that was a +84) on a Hide check. During that same "encounter" he rolled a 96 (after armour that was a +80) on a Move Silently check. Tell your DM to thank the entire Pantheon they don't have me as a character. Especially if they're miffed with +33 to Hide. P.S.-I don't have rules for Dervish. P.P.S.-I only took it up to +11 because thats the max BAB at which he gains an attack that would fit within the LA that the template would add. |
| snakeman83002-16-07, 10:07 PM | When I get enough wealth, I'm going to go Amulet of Supirior Invisibility. Makes any other enhancement a moot point (except adding to hide for those foes with true seeing, but those are rare enough anyway). As is, the gretest thing is that that is without any items minus the armor. If I did get items as well as use my class ability, it would be even better. PS, how did you get a set of armor and ring that will stck to give you a +84 bonus by ECL 12? |

PS, how did you get a set of armor and ring that will stck to give you a +80 bonus by ECL 12? Armour SQ was (I believe) Greater Shadow from DMG and Ring was Greater Invisibility. None of us are good at knowing which bonuses stack and which don't, so if those don't stack, thats the reason. P.S.-Where's Superior Invisibility from? |
| snakeman83002-16-07, 10:22 PM | Invisiblity grants a +40 circumstance bonus on hide when you are standing still. Greater shadow in the DMG is only a +15 comptence bonus. A general rule of thumb is that bonuses of the same type do not stack. The exceptions are dodge bonuses, racial bonuses, most circumstance bonus, and un-named bonuses. Supirior Invisibility is in the Complete Arcane. 9th level spell casting time: 1 standard action duration 1 HOUR/level I'll make this short. It turns you invisible as greater invisibility, but it also negates sound and vibration in a 5 foot radius centered on you. Thus, someone under the effect (or standing next to someone under the effect) cannot cast spells with verbal or somatic components. It also means you make no noise whatsoever. You also do not give off a scent or heat during the effect. You are completely undetectable by anything other than blindsight (not blindsense, blindsight), touch, taste, and True Seeing. Not even tremorsense or see invisibility can see you. |

Exactly, I was a Ninja (Complete Adventurer) and after taking away those two, I only had to have a base modfier of +29. Also, FYI, my Dex bonus was such that I would have my Dex restricted by wearing padded armour. My DM said I sould apply the bonuses to clothes so long as I paid 200g for Masterwork Clothes (:P) and then added the price on top of that. | Pangeon02-17-07, 12:19 AM | Skrugg!/Thogg, the Orc Barbarian with a 3 Int, 5 Wis, and 4 Cha. I've seen it done. It was a monstrosity. A beautiful monstrosity. |

Okay, if you've got Complete Adventurer, then you have Dervish stats (That's the CA I was refering to above, not Complete Arcane) Yep, that adds up to 84 + 1D20 on hide. Move silently is another story that I'd like to know. BTW, armor only restricts Dex bonus to AC, not to anything else. |
| tharivol26602-17-07, 10:59 AM | i want my current rogue (max ranks umd at tenth level ill take the ability to take ten in it) to buy a few sneak wands (silence, invs etc) and start robbing people blind then using that money to buy more wands that are helpful to the party in battle. once that gets going there is no sane dm who wont stop me. im glad i have an insane dm instead. as for a link to pun-pun i have the ecl 5 one in my sig. |
| Jezmund02-17-07, 11:57 AM | 28. Half-dragon centaur vampire. |
| Warmonger85602-17-07, 12:22 PM | 29. Actual conversation when I was starting up a game: A: I've got a character from another game, can I use it? B: What is he? A: He's a half-dragon. B: What's the other half? A: ... Displacer beast. 30. Goblin paladin. Who rides a pot-bellied pig as his mount. And uses a pointy stick as a lance. I've been wanting to run this character for years. |

I ran that character. He wore trash can lids as his armor. He was funny as hell to play. Made my throat sore doing the goblin voice for hours, though. |
| Maekrix_Waere02-17-07, 05:09 PM | 31:Any Necromancer who swears by the Libris Mortis. I believe my record, after some XTREME loopholing, for Undead was 10 thousand HD of undead per HD of my character. I'd have to check though... |
| Norad302-17-07, 09:06 PM | I made a charcter once because i thought it would be fun to play a really small character that nobody could hit. He was a gnome and basically all he needed was a pair of rapiers and a perminant reduce person (through an item or otherwise). with those items at 20th lvl with standard point buy he had an AC of 58 while not moving agianst medium creatures and 67 while moving. It was so funny to walk into a monsters space and sneak attack them from right under them and then watch them get hit again by thier buddies who are trying to get at me. |

Using a 32 point buy and starting with 16 dex. At 20th level, with all 20 levels in Psion and a devotion of 4 Power slots, along with buying +5 Natural Armor Amulet, +6 Dex Item, and +5 Ring of Protection... As a human: 39 AC for 20 of the 24 hours in a day (Via Inertial Armor augmented), with 2 rounds of prep he goes up to 54 AC (Precognitive Defense, last 20 mins. Force Screen, last 20 mins). With another round of prep, he gains Damage Reduction 7/- for another 20 minutes (Biofeedback, I believe). And that's for a caster.. |

Well if you want to add magic items off the top of my head +8 bracers of armor. +6 headband of intellect, +6 gloves of dex, amulet of nat armor +5, two +5 defending rapiers, +5 ring of protection puts him up to 92 AC at all times and hits 101 when moving. yay over 100 AC makes me happy. :) |
| Siduakal02-17-07, 11:35 PM | Well that char wasn't really an effort at optimization. I was just fiddling one day with augmented powers at 20 to see how effective some were long run. Inertial Armor ends up as good as +8 Bracers of Armor (20 of 24 hours a day) - and can surpass them epic.. Without any drain on funds. So that was nice. The rest were just okay discoveries. However, he sacrifices nothing offensively to do this. Hell, with Schism up I believe his other half of his mind could manifest all of those powers for him while he acted normally. :P |
| Nathreet02-18-07, 12:23 AM | Kobold peasant 20. No splatbooks. Starting gold spent on roughly a megaton of cheddar cheese :D Venerable gray elf expert 20 w/ maxed knowledge skills, languages, etc. Expert is another NPC class, picks any 10 class skills it wants. That plus skill boosting magic items, feats, etc. Would avoid all combat. Derro (racial insanity, +6 charisma -6 wisdom) Paladin 2 / Monk 1 / Druid 1 / Ranger 1 / Cleric 1 / etc. 1. Cloak of resistance +5, plus a certain other 2 other magic items that give +1 to saves each. All save feats. Cloak of charisma +6. Periapt of wisdom +6. Amulet of health +6. Gloves of dexterity +6. Etc. He can't do anything but, yes, he made his save. |

Alas, we're going to have one of those in our party... :( which leads to: 48: The ce female vampire barb (dm's own vamp template based on masquerade and the Lifedrinker PrC) who spends blood points to regain hp. Normally, would have to feed to replenish blood points, UNTIL the dm gave her a masterwork katana that restored her blood points whenever it touched blood, ie her opponents. Infinite hp while the rest of the party retreats from battle because of low healing supply. And yes, she plans on taking the frenzied beserker prc.... much much alas. Truly proving our dm is NOT sane. |
| epifreak02-20-07, 03:17 AM | 49. Succubus. 'nuff said 50. I've always wanted to make a build using the beastmaster (I believe that's what it's called) PrC from Masters of the Wild to call literally thousands of squirrels as animal companions. Imagine the looks when the monster gets shredded by your vicious squirrel swarms. Bonus points if you twink the HD loophole by tacking on every template you can find that doesn't change the type past magical beast. |

| Radijs02-20-07, 09:02 AM | Any gestalt in a non gestalt game of course. But why is ninja/warlock gestalt so bad? |
| Soluphobe02-20-07, 09:53 AM | 51. Cthulhu. Half-Illithid Changling Warlock 6, ECL 11(I believe) Use Minor Change Shape to appear fiendish. Get a Giant Size (CA) scroll or something, use Decieve Device to hack it, then use Fell Flight. And Beguiling Influence. Result: Giant flying mind flayer with claws and blood-red eyes. That can convince you its actually a kitten (total bluff modifier should be +19 without items at least, +27 with). |

Or you could just use Mindblank, which tells true seeing to **** off. And then just use standard invisibility. |
| snakeman83002-20-07, 04:08 PM | True seeing doesn't deal with the mind at all, so mind blank does nothing against it. 52. A player with a highly intelligent, animated suit of armor. (We had no idea just how powerful that could be when my DM okayed it) My winged centaur fighter's armor is an animated, intelligent set of heavy fortification ghost-touch mithril breastplate with resistance 20 fire, acid, and cold and the special purpose of defend centaurs (dimension door ability). It was interesting when he was knocked out and the armor kept fighting, throwing insults at the Titan the entire time. |

| ravenshrike02-21-07, 03:06 PM | True seeing doesn't deal with the mind at all, so mind blank does nothing against it. True Seeing Divination Mind Blank Abjuration Level: Protection 8, Sor/Wiz 8 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Target: One creature Duration: 24 hours Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless) Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless) The subject is protected from all devices and spells that detect, influence, or read emotions or thoughts. This spell protects against all mind-affecting spells and effects as well as information gathering by divination spells or effects. Mind blank even foils limited wish, miracle, and wish spells when they are used in such a way as to affect the subject’s mind or to gain information about it. In the case of scrying that scans an area the creature is in, such as arcane eye, the spell works but the creature simply isn’t detected. Scrying attempts that are targeted specifically at the subject do not work at all. The way our eyes perceive light is, at it's most basic component, information gathering. Any spell that can tell miracle and wish to go **** themselves can certainly do the same to true seeing. |

On the concept side, anything with "...and kill/rob/betray" the party in the description that doesn't take part in some well-designed plot point of the DM's. A couple points on some of what's been mentioned, though... VoP is generally suboptimal compared to what you can do without it - it just makes it a lot easier to be reasonably good, especially if combat challenges aren't too varied. The Frenzied Berserker can be a menace to the party... but there *are* ways for the character to deal safely with his Frenzy. |
| Senevri02-23-07, 01:07 PM | 51. Cthulhu. Half-Illithid Changling Warlock 6, ECL 11(I believe) Use Minor Change Shape to appear fiendish. That can convince you its actually a kitten (total bluff modifier should be +19 without items at least, +27 with). WIN! - pun-pun thread derailer: I believe it's still best to be a psion - or a wizard - for some extra skillpoint tomfoolery - needs 24 in K:Planes before d20 die, after all. Hmm. | RadicalTaoist02-24-07, 02:53 PM | ????? please provide a link. I would like to see this for myself... Look it up in the Pun-Pun thread. The gist is you need to have a high enough Knowledge [the Planes] check to call Pazuzu. He grants you a wish, you wish for a candle of invocation. Candles of Invocation make for an easy stupid broken core-only infinite wish loop, as well as access to Gate. Gate in a Sarrukh and a creature that can PAO you into a scalykind (there are many). The rest is history. |

Also, no idea on power level, but for the gestalt submissions: Monk // Rogue / Incarnum Totemist / Umbral deciple (3+ - hide in plain sight) Monk // Warlock (with Hideous blow, Eldritch chain) Incarnum Incarnate // soulknife 5 / illumine soul 5 / soulknife or bow 10 ok, those are more useful in magic deficent settings. |
| Thugorp03-02-07, 03:09 AM | Okay, if you've got Complete Adventurer, then you have Dervish stats (That's the CA I was refering to above, not Complete Arcane) Yep, that adds up to 84 + 1D20 on hide. What? He met a dretch in a dungeon? Poor DM. This guy suddenly bursts into insanity with his magical items, draining any demon he finds! Gloves that cast unlimited scorching ray and distract assailant spells*. A one-shot headband of true strike. Boots of levitation. It there is a spell of level 2 or under, this guy can cast it from his shoe, glove, belt, earring, thimble, spectacles, figurines, ANYTHING! If he finds gold, he enchants it with one-use lesser orb spells in favor of actually spending it! If the party finds a portrait, suddenly that portrait is a 50-charge magic missile machine! If this guy is a warlock or artificer, run! With a thought bottle, he is unstoppable! He has destroyed entire civilizations with magic items alone (albeit at epic levels)! And somehow, it is all RAW... The trick with this is that it reduces the githzerai monk with +9 Dex and +6 Wis to AC 10. Ditto to the Knight in +5 full plate. Distract assailant makes him flat-footed, then a ranged touch attack negates any armor he might be wearing. This trick has caused my players to either run screaming from any kobold wearing gloves or try to used Diplomacy to take them as cohorts. |

| Korvara_Verndari03-13-07, 04:11 PM | Got a couple but I'll post them individually. Not complete, I don't have the books or anything with me so this is all off the top of my head. Goliath (LA 1) Fighter 4/ Warlock 15 Racial Exotic Weapon (Races of Stone gain access to all racial exotic weapons) Goliath Greathammer (3d6 dmg Large 2hd Hammer 60lbs) Weapon Focus Greathammer Weapon Spec Greathammer Battle Caster x2 (I think that's the name, from Complete Arcana gives ability to wear next higher type of armor; ie light to medium, medium to heavy) Power Attack Cleave Weapon Focus Eldritch Blast Weapon Spec Eldritch Blast Invocations Darkness Devil's Sight Hideous Blow Eldritch Spear So at ECL 20 you have a weapon that does 10d6+9(str) dmg on a melee attack and 7d6 on a melee touch attack without enchantment, I think 4 attacks on a full attack action, and a critical multiplier of 3x. If you enchanted this with the maiming special ability then you would roll 1d6 to find the multiplier of every crit. I would also add the Impacting ability which changes the crit range to 19-20. power attack and you have 10d6+9(str)+10(PA) for a minimum dmg of 29 and max of 79 on a straight hit. Crit (20) min 87/max 237 non enchanted. Enchanted Crit (non-20) would be min 76/max 156, if you didn't play that the eldritch blast was treated as a crit on all weapon crit rolls. Start adding in the maiming ability and you get min(x1 multiplier) 29/max(x6multipier) 480!!! I was in the process of playing this character before I moved from DC to Asheville and the only reason that I was allowed to play this character was because I swore I wouldn't take the Hideous Blow Invocation. As a lvl 1 Fighter I had a 22 str, 15 dex, 20 Con, 17int, 16wis, and 18 chr. Pretty nasty. Kor |
| Korvara_Verndari03-13-07, 04:28 PM | Human Wizard 5/ Force Weaver (Path of Magic) 10/Elemental Lord (Legendary Class from Path of Magic) couple of pre-reqs I can't remember off the top of my head but I'll list all I can think of Feats Enegery Substitution (pick one) Great Fortitude Spell Focus Envocation DM Choice Class Abilities Call a +3 Holy* Ghosttouch weapon (any you have proficiency with) 3 times per day * you chose up to a +2 enchantment to add to the weapon Call a form of Mage armor that gives a +5 Armor bonus for several hours (can't remember duration now) once per day +4/ die of dmg to all force spells (magic missile become 5 1d4+5 missiles) Energy Substitution Force (Fireball becomes Force ball at 10d6+40 dmg) Immunity to Force Effects (Wall of Force, Magic Missile, etc) +1 Con (Power Level 1 ElemLord - +1 Con times the power level this ability is taken at) +6 spell levels (Power Level 2 ElemLord - gain 3 spell levels times the power level this ability is taken at) +3 Int (Power Level 3 ElemLord - +1 Int times the power level this ability is taken at) Energy Substituion (the other four that you don't have already) (ElemLord Power Level 4 - Chose one Energy type to substitute times the power level this ability is taken at) Energy Immunity (All 5 types) (ElemLord Power Level 5 - Chose one Energy type to be immune to times the power level this ability is taken at) So at level 20 your immune to all energy types and force effects, you have a weapon you can call on 3x/day and armor if you need it, you can substitute any energy type including force to any spell with an energy subtype and get extra dmg with a force spell based on number of dice rolled for the dmg), Bonus to Int and Con, bonus spell levels (ie 6 1st lvl spells, 3 2nd lvl spells, 2 3rd lvl spells, 2 2nd lvl and 2 1st lvl spells, or any combination that adds up to 6). I played this character once in a Epic game that the DM wanted to play since the Epic Handbook was out and he wanted to see how Epic Levels worked out. It was a one shot that ended early cause I dropped a quick cast globe of force (modified wall of force) on top of the BBEG and his Toady and then filled it with water and watched them drown. Game lasted about 50 minutes all told. |

| Garble Willowwits03-13-07, 10:06 PM | Hey, it's fine to base something on another character, like Wolverine or something, just make sure you play it with style. As for anime and such, there are a lot of dramatic moments in most shows, so people are like "Hey that would be cool to do in D&D." Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. You'll get a Hivemind so big that it can fight the DM. 3) A Hellfire Warlock named "Arson the Fire Crime". You're just asking for it. 4) A Changling Binder/Chameleon. Really be anything. And yes, all of these characters where allowed by our DM and are now some of the most popular and well-liked personas in our game world. The DM actually helped me craft number 1, thereby making one the most invicible legal player characters I've ever seen. | Realms of Chaos07-22-07, 10:31 PM | 10.) Brain inna Jar. The scary part... I tried this with a player. :weep: The horrifying part... It worked!  And my creation. Half-orc binder 1/warlock 1/sorcerer 1 This requires a flaw, but it is insane, in multiple meanings of the word. 1. half-orc's base weight is set to maximum, 1500 pounds. 2. Improved binding grants access to haaganti, which multiplies weight by x1.5 (2,250 lbs.) 3. enlarge person spell multiplies weight by x8 (18,000 lbs.) 4. thanks to willing deformity and deformity (obese), you weight is multiplied by x3 (54,000 lbs) 5. warlock invocation allows unlimited spider climb. 6. KABOOOOOOM!!!!. relax, using the actual method for multiplication, the half-orcs weight of 1,500 is actually only multiplied by x10.5 (15,750 lbs.) :D |

She claims to be chaotic evil and proud of it. 101) A homebrew race who recieve a proficiency in a type of homebrew bow that effectively turns them into arrow machine guns (I made 'em, Lapinians, LA+1, originally they were all about...ahem...that which rabbits are infamous for...before I decided they needed weapons. I made the Multibow, which does damage like a composite bow and allows Lapinians to act as if they had the Multishot feat, even if they don't. What's more, if they get the Multishot feat, they get to shoot MORE arrows. My friend the DM and I are trying to figure out how to fix them without ruining their flavor.) |
