| Master_of_Rouges01-21-08, 09:14 PM | Yes another 1001 thread. I know a stupid rogue because i used to be one. OK so I have no total trust in my party simple fact they bully me for being 3 feet tall. So were walking along the road and about 12 bandits jump out. And attack us. Well us being outnumbered i thought i would fall back. I didnt like the fighter in the group so i shot him with an arrow. I keep shooting getting occasional hits i drop him to 0 and then the mage shoots me with a fireball. I roll one on my reflex save and lose all my weapons and half my gear. Things is the bind me up heal the fighter and when they arent looking he coup de graces me. Well i was happy that i got to kill a fighter with a rogue.:D |
| Shadowshimmer01-22-08, 09:10 AM | This is not really stupid but we have a player who plays a CG Elf Rogue who steals only to give to the poor. Now this is noble and nice, blah, blah, blah, but he never steals to help out the party. How about stealing some Gauntlets of Ogre Power for the Fighter or a spellbook for the Wizard? He says that he bases his character on Robin Hood but didn't Robin Hood give something for his Merry Men? |
| Clem-Da-Squig01-22-08, 11:26 PM | D&D Game day '08. SPOILER AHEAD I am playing as Tara the red or something,my pal is playing the dwarf palladin, and among the others are a halfling rouge, elfish sorceres, and the dwarf palladin's brother, who I think was a fighter. So, we enter the dwarfen ruins, fight some krenshars and their goblin flunkies, then we enter the burial chamber. (The party looks into the room) DM: You see a large coffin in the middle of the room it looks like theres some writeing on it. Hafling Rouge: I run into the room and open the coffin! DM: Roll initiative. Long story short,a ghost pops out and starts strength damageing the Rouge. By the end of the encounter he is to weak to carry any thing and falls down under the weight of his armour! Bet you can't guess what the coffin said: Stay the **** away or die.:banghead: Some thing to that effect anyways. |

| aikimiller01-24-08, 09:18 AM | Anyone who tries to steal from party members. Especially when the lawful neutral monk has a +20 spot modifier. |
| YamiShinobi01-25-08, 01:25 AM | i've played pickpockets before, they never robbed the party, nor did they spend 2/3 of thier time stealing, they stole the occasional couple gold pieces needed to pay for the occasional party inn suite. or to pay the laundry washer to wash thier sweaty cloaks. even palm the occasion dagger off a brandishing bragger and backstab him, they did minor stealing, to cover the minor rare expense that would be an inconvenience out of pocket. the average inn charges 2gp per party member, assuming you rent a suite for a week to recover. a true ressurection should cost 1570, (90X17) the dm charged 30,000 for a CL 17 9th level spell (true ressurection) for some other guys character, (glad it wasn't mine, and 70% of my pickpockets go arcane trickster at level 11 for all 10 levels). |
