Well I don’t know I really don’t mind if my character turns into for i like the role-playing challenge,

For example my last character as a lvl 7 ranger/7 shadow dancer /2 assassin and what bit him was a were- dire wolf

Trust me you would not believe me the you would have found the role playing this character afterwards like every time my character would go into town people would end up dyeing at the night of the full moon and my character would just say “I know nothing!” And then do things like demand to be locked up and they still die. And going trying to clear himself (even though as a player I know that he did it)

This is a perfectly good example of people not reading over their posts before submitting them. Let's get that revamped Revan ;) .

lets try this agene

This is a post dedicated to good role playing challenges and the things that we sort of set our self’s up for and the humour of some of them

For example my last character as a level 18 7 ranger/7 shadow dancer /2 assassin and he bitten by a dire were-wolf

Trust me you would not believe me the you would have found the role playing this character afterwards like every time my character would go into town people would end up dyeing at the night of the full moon and my character would just say “I know nothing!” And then do things like demand to be locked up and they still die. All the while the party is made up of neutral character that have know idea about 1) he is a Assassin 2)they know he has a habit of sneaking off and he trends to find out stuff that a more good guy would not know about, but would try to act like a very knowledgeable and helpful guy. 3) they don’t know about him being bitten

I'll take a shot at this. Tell me if I'm wrong.

This is a thread dedicated to discussing the role-playing challenges that we set ourselves up for, and the humour that occurs because of them.

For example, my last character, who was a level 7 ranger/ 7 shadow dancer / 2 assassin was bitten by a dire were-wolf.

Trust me, it was a challenge to roleplay this character. Every time I went into town on the night of a full moon, people would start dying. My character never knew what was happening, and even demanded to be locked up when it was a full moon out, but the deaths would still occur. The character also tried to clear his good name, even though I, as the player, knew that he was actually guilty.

The rest of my party had no idea that my character was an assassin, and they were not aware of my nighttime adventures where I learned much more about things than I should. They also had no clue that I was a werewolf.

Does that about sum it up?

Naaahhh.

I think what the OP actually meant was that his character (which had assassin levels and was therefore evil) knew perfectly well that we was doing it and wanted to be doing it. He would demand to be locked up (to demonstrate good faith), then would escape, rampage, return to his cell and deny all knowledge.

This is not really a humor thread, it is a "bragging on my character" thread - which is perfectly ok. Nothing wrong with war stories, even though there is not a specific forum for them. I suppose this category (what's a player to do) is the most appropriate given that.

My newest character proclaims himself to be a demi-god and indefinite prophet to Wee Jas (the way he says it is basically that he was chosen by Wee Jas to be the manifestation and executor of her words...the words that he makes up), and has formed a cult to preach his "special connection" with the spirit of Wee Jas (which, of course, is radically different to any organized church systems). He uses both arcane (Sorceror) and divine (Favored Soul) spells to trick people into thinking he's more powerful that he actually is, and has gathered a group of people who follow him and heed his every word. The cult is more like a gang--participating in any variety of illegal activities prescribed by my character--except it has the tint of religious fanaticism that garners loyalty to the cause.

It's beautiful, really...The main challenge is that my DM only agreed to allow all of this is if I stayed within the mechanics of the game (obviously), and if I ran most of my NPCs so that he wouldn't have buttloads of extra work to do for me. Which is totally fair, but also difficult.

I once had a paladin who was cursed by a sorcerer and turned into a death knight. It was a pretty unique roleplaying challenge trying to be heroic when you're a rotting skeletal undead guy with an unholy sword and a crowd of zombies following you around. On the other hand, my vows of celibacy got a lot easier.
