| wtiger the theif05-20-05, 11:14 AM | ive thought of a few worthless items for D&D if you can think of some post them. 1:wand of itching-this wand as made of poison ivy and goves the weilder a unberible itch for 1d4 days then comes back after 2 hours of bliss can be given to mutiple enemies in a 60 cone 2:Ring of drunkeness: this ring is of copper with a brownish amber gem on it. when worn the wearer becomes very drunk four12 hours then falls asleep and dosent wake up until 24 hours later ring dissapears then reapears in the owners pack. 3:sword of issusion: this word is a hilt with a ilusionary blade.could be used to threaten someone but nothing more if you can think of anymore then post them |
| snowlynx05-20-05, 11:26 AM | A few weapons that are enchanted, but there enchantment is such: they make silly noises and are flashy when they hit. For example, a sword that makes loud catcalls when it strikes. |
| Lord of the Underdark05-20-05, 12:03 PM | A bastard sword that looks and sounds just like a light-saber but only functions as a masterwork item. One magically enhanced manicle. +0 Bolts for a crossbow, enchanted to look/sound like bottle rockets. Boots of Did'dly S'cwat - They provide no bonus to anything. |
| Gryllmyre05-20-05, 12:07 PM | Ring of invisibility. Don't worry, it's there. You just can't see it. |
| snowlynx05-20-05, 12:13 PM | Ring of invisibility. Don't worry, it's there. You just can't see it. Reminds me of a ring a DM put in that made the corpse wearing it invisible. We checked for a secret door in the empty sarcophagus. Yuck! Plus, it only worked for a particular bloodline.... Hey, if the invisible ring were a poison ring (a ring with a compartment for holding poison so it could be slipped into a drink) it would be very nice. Another useless item: a magical pair of boxers. It will change colors/patterns on command. Default is PINK! Goggles or lenses that emit light as the daylight spell, but keep the user blinded while he/she uses them. When taken off, they no longer shed light. |
| ehrin05-20-05, 01:41 PM | Short sword of two handedness: this short sword looks and strikes like a short sword, with corresponding damage of a short sword, but has the weight and bulk of a great sword. It requires exotic weapon proficiency to use. Stringed Ioun Stone: this grey ioun stone must be whirled by the attached string around the users head. It provides +1 to the users armor class, but takes a full round action to utilize. Ring of Fire Detection: this ring, when worn and placed and held for 1 round into a suspected fire, will heat detect true fires versus illusionary fires. Mug of friendship: this magical mug, when repeatedly filled with alcohol costing at least 5 gp per use, and given to an adjacent humanoid near you in a bar, will increase your charisma by 1 point per every 25 gp used. |
| wtiger the theif05-20-05, 02:17 PM | boots of oppisite: every time you try to walk softly they squeak like mad and say" hurry up" in a loud voice knife of backstabing: this knife has another one always behind the owner effectivly back stabbing the owner if owner tries to kill some one with it. bottomless pack: this pack is broken into the astrial plane in the bottom sword of usless knowlege: this sword constandly tells you usless if formation by putting it in the pc mouth ex: DM: you now come to a door PC(with sword):the wood is 50 years old of a great elm felded by to Daft Mans lumber yard and sold to Darvish Mikene........:teach: DM: :uh-huh: uhhh what ever any way...... |
| Mirikon05-20-05, 03:44 PM | Dull Energy (+1 enhancement) - Like Brilliant Energy Blade, except ignores all living flesh instead of only hitting living flesh. Ring of Invisibility, Cursed - Makes all the users clothing, items, etc. invisible, but not the user. Cannot be removed without a remove curse spell. Static Sword - This +5 Shocking Burst Greatsword is cursed, so that whenever it hits, the player must make a DC 20 Ref save to keep hold of the sword, as painful (but nondamaging) electrical energy flows through the hilt. |
| wtiger the theif05-20-05, 03:59 PM | Ring of saving: this ring makes all attacks (any type) attack you, including freindly fire |
| Meisterbrau05-20-05, 04:23 PM | Rolling random loot for my party the other day I actually rolled a +4 brilliant energy bow....of construct bane. |
| Fargren05-20-05, 04:48 PM | sword of usless knowlege: this sword constandly tells you usless if formation by putting it in the pc mouth ex: DM: you now come to a door PC(with sword):the wood is 50 years old of a great elm felded by to Daft Mans lumber yard and sold to Darvish Mikene........:teach: DM: :uh-huh: uhhh what ever any way...... Wow! a sword of john doe! |
| mcnoo05-20-05, 07:17 PM | Wand of leopard inverting: When used causes any leopard to instantly turn inside out. Ring of very small wishes: Once per month summons an awakened vole who will attempt to grant the user any one wish within it's power, such as "I wish i had that pebble", or "I wish a vole would bite me on the thumb" Peripat of unlimited fingers: Does exactly what it says on the tin Helm of ultimate ascension: Instantly confers upon the wearer a divine rank of 30, causing them to instantly transcend the mortal planes and lose all interest in mortal matters. In character it's a fantasic thing to happen. For the player, it means "roll up a new character". |
| Thanqol05-20-05, 08:39 PM | Decanter of Limited Water: This magical device can be filled with water, which can then be emptied at a different location. Blood Mage Dagger: If you stab yourself for over 10 points of damage with this dagger, it gets a +1 enhancement bonus until end of turn. Printer of Crinkle-Plinkle-Sploit: This enchanted printer is made specialy for a type of paper a centimeter smaller then A4 paper, thus causing the utter destruction of any normal paper fed into it. |
| The Man from Uncle05-21-05, 04:37 AM | Mug of alcohol reversing: As the user drinks more and more from this mug they become increasingly irritable, start complaining of headaches and finally begin muttering words like 'Oh god....never again'. When they wake up in the morning they can't get dressed by themselves, keep telling everyone how much they love them and have a new found confidence in their own singing. |
| Arcen05-21-05, 05:09 AM | A few weapons that are enchanted, but there enchantment is such: they make silly noises and are flashy when they hit. For example, a sword that makes loud catcalls when it strikes. I would pay top $ for a sword that shouted "You go boy!" :P Ring of Portable Hole- "Look ma no finger!" Book of No Papercuts- for those wizards with delicate hands. Sword of Healing - Heals an equal amount of healing to whatever it deals damage to. A Keen Greatclub. |
| Glenn4Moose05-21-05, 11:20 AM | I threw a ring I made up into my campaign. Gambler's ring : On command word, it dimenson doors the user 200 feet in one direction. The user can not specify the direction and does not know where he'll end up. Also, there is a 75% probability that all his worldy possessions will be left on the ground where he was and he will end up naked where ever he lands. |
| snowlynx05-21-05, 02:22 PM | Ring of jumping: upon command, this ring jumps. It has a jump score of +5. It can only be used when not on a finger. Cloak of vanity: This lovely silken cloak has delicate silver trim. This cloak seems to the wearer to be a cloak of charisma +6. Unfortunately, it does nothing except make the wearer see themselves as prettier. |
