| Khaldune08-23-05, 01:26 AM | During a recent encounter with many chromatic Dragons our wizard found himself in a rather unpleasant situation...being swallowed whole by a huge green dragon. So he whips a small metal cube and says the magic word and a 30 foot tower springs forth from the dragons abdomin needless to say the dragon died and the wizard shrank the Daerns instant fortress back down and climed out with a smile. So here are some of my Ideas. I want to see what thoughts are out there on getting out of a dragon before the acids and other wonderful things kills a pc 1.Daern's Instant fortress- instant hole 2.cast grease and slide all the way down and then cast knock 3.teleport 4.Shape chage or polymorph in to an air elemental and become the worlds largest burp 5.when in doubt cut your way out |
| Salookanana08-23-05, 02:02 AM | Put a portable hole in a bag of holding. The astral plane doesnt like dragons, right? And if you are in a dragon when this happens, do only certain dragon organs go with you? What if you acivate a immoble stick of doom? does that rip up a dragon? Cast fireball and blow a hole out. You may ignite the gasses in a dragon's gut, but hell, it will rock! Or you can be like Red Mage "It has exposed it's weak fleashy underbelly to me in the form of it's digestive tract!!" and cast some ice spells or whatever the weakness is. And easy access to touch attacking! or get a bag of tricks and some summons and make the gut pop. For the non-mages... uh....dont bathe so that you dont get eatten. Easy if you are a half orc! |
| Deflare08-23-05, 02:16 AM | 11) This is why it's always handy to have a pickaxe. :D 12) Eat a barrel of fried beans before the fight. You'll be leaving, soon enough. 13) Make sure your clothes are high in fiber. Again, you'll be leaving, soon enough. 14) If you have a piton and a dagger, go ice climbing up the throat (or the other direction, if you really want to). 15) Flaming hands. I'll do the world a favor and not make any heartburn jokes. 16) Have a huge gold dragon as an ally, and hope it doesn't damage the belly. 17) Wear magically-weighted clothing, so the dragon can't fly and you teammates can cut you out. 18) Jab a hole in the stomach mucus. That'll be one heck of an ulcer, so even if the dragon doesn't hurl, you'll have your revenge. |
| ShadowDragon868508-23-05, 02:48 AM | 19. Immovable rods. Lots of them. Not only will you be able to painfully halt the dragon's movement, but with enough of them, you can ladder your way back up it's throat. In a very painful fasion. Then when you get out... Dragon Statue, very PO'd dragon statue. :) 20. Prismatic Sphere/Wall. Not only do you stand a large chance of damaging him to death outright (Hey, you can't make a Reflex save against something originating INSIDE you,) but you could send him to another plane. Like the 9 Hells. And maybe, if you're lucky, to Asmodeous' personal residence. :) 21. Shapechange into something it can't digest. Iron Golem sounds good to me. Not only that, but you're now huge and weighing down their belly. You can bash your way out of his stomach, and out of him, or climb back up his throat and strangle his heart. 22. Decanter of Endless Water. Helps if you own a Ring of Water Breatheing. :) (I'll leave your imaginations to figure out how this one works. :) ) 23. Something like Ultra-Seltzer. Interacts with it's stomach acids and causes a massive overpressure explosion. At the least, you'll be cannonball'd out of his mouth as the projectile of one MASSIVE burp. 24. Eat your way out. Best if you're a gnoll or something carnivorous. Or if he left you your spoon. (Can anyone get this reference?) 25. Dig through the dragon's body. Locate his or her reproductive organs, and hold them hostage. S/he WILL let you go. |
| Xaktsaroth08-23-05, 03:40 AM | That actually happened to my Wizard/Initiate of the Seven-Fold Veil. You'd be surprised how hard it is for a dragon to avoid a kalidascope doom from the inside. :P |
| CaoSlayer08-23-05, 06:56 AM | 26) Gaseous form for another kind of burp... 27)stinky cloud so the dragon fells sicks a vomits. 28) stone form and wait the nature to act. |
| Lyinginbedmon08-23-05, 07:45 AM | 27. Cube of Force. Can we say new dragonscale armor? 28. Stone of Weight [Loadstone]. Now try imagining a gall or kidney stone for a dragon. :tantrum: 29. Cube of Force and a Sustaining Spoon (Possibly Iridescent Spindle Ioun stone). The all new Dragon Motor home! :rimshot: 30. Eversmoking Bottle. Those things'll kill ya, y'know? :P |
| skywyze08-23-05, 07:53 AM | 31. For epic dragons/characters: Cast Genesis to make your own demiplane inside the dragon, then cast Origin of Species: Smurf to keep you company while waiting for someone to rescue you or for nature to take its course. 32. Practice tapdancing with sharp heeled shoes. 33. Yell real loud, "I have Bubonic Plague!" 34. Wait for inopportune moments and use Ghost Sound or Ventriloquism to cause the dragon dismay. Combined with Stinking Cloud, you can at least cause some embarassing social situations for the dragon. 35. Threaten to break all your glass items and leave them in the dragon's gut. That's gotta hurt when he goes to the bathroom next. 36. Get out your everfull mug of ale and start pouring. Wait for dragon to hurl like a freshman. 37. Preemptively put spikes on your armor. |
| GFC_Seracule08-23-05, 10:09 AM | 38.Polymorph into elder fire elementel. 39.Cast Shambler 40.Summon Fiendish Tyrannosaurus. I'll leave your imagination to expand on these. |
| High Octane08-23-05, 12:47 PM | 40. Use your Perform (Country Music) skill until it vomits. |
| Wraithburn08-23-05, 12:51 PM | 41.) Cast Prismatic Sphere That Daerns Instant Fortress method of escape is a pretty cool idea. I will have to keep that one in mind. |
| Jack_SSW08-23-05, 12:57 PM | 42: cast magic missile aimed downward. 43: Grafiti with symbol of pain. 44: One spell. Summon swarm. 45: Flesh to Stone. Anyone want a dragon sculpture? 46: Dude, I'm just naming spells here. STORM OF VENGENCE!!! 47: Whirlwind inside the dragon. Dragon smoothies! 48: Animate rope, and tie it to his reproductive orgains and his kidney. Then pull when you get to your stop. 49: Cast grease, and then light it on fire. nothing like flaming Diarrhea. 50: Fire Ball enema. 51: Cast shatter on a gong. 52: Drop your claymore somewhere down the very dark hole, and cast enlarge object. (Boy, we really hate dragons...) 53: With your bag of holding, store some poision oak and when your inside, make his life hell! 54: Shocking Grasp. Tickle torture. Or grab him by the balls! 55: Make sure your a bard, then use your diplomacy skill to convince the other swollowed victims to start slashing every organ in sight. *pant pant* |
| SodaGuy08-23-05, 12:59 PM | 24. Eat your way out. Best if you're a gnoll or something carnivorous. Or if he left you your spoon. (Can anyone get this reference?) Wouldn't happen to be RvB, would it? |
| Lyinginbedmon08-23-05, 01:03 PM | That Daerns Instant Fortress method of escape is a pretty cool idea. I will have to keep that one in mind. The slight problem that, being inside him as well, you would be caught in the expansion of the fortress and be dealt 10d10 points of damage automatically since you can't possibly avoid it. |
| Khaldune08-23-05, 01:20 PM | The slight problem that, being inside him as well, you would be caught in the expansion of the fortress and be dealt 10d10 points of damage automatically since you can't possibly avoid it. If you bother to read the DMG the person in possesion takes no damage when the tower appears. :) |
| ShadowDragon868508-23-05, 03:55 PM | Wouldn't happen to be RvB, would it? That's right. You left me my spooon. The soft dragon innards were like a delicious lasagna to me! Yep, it's Sarge from RvB. You get a :cookie: . :) (In case it's not obvious, that's supposta be a cookie.) 56. Worm your way to his lungs, and take up chain-smoking. Eventually he'll cough you up. 57. Plant a pair of Decanters of Endless Water (can you tell this is one of my favorite Wondrous Items) in the holes leading from his throat to his lungs. This will be especially effective if he's a Red, because you'll put out his fire, AND drown him. Then just crawl out and claim your prize. :) |
| Lao, Ninja of the Dragon08-23-05, 04:57 PM | 58) Suggestion "Vomit now, and aim for *insert the description of disliked party members*" |
| Lyinginbedmon08-23-05, 05:10 PM | 58) Suggestion "Vomit now, and aim for *insert the description of disliked party members*" That would be an Order of the Stick reference I believe. Vomit, now, and aim for the halfling - Vaarsuvius 59. Apply Sovereign Glue to the bottom of his stomach, then climb back into his throat. Weight for the pressure to build and get ready to hit orbit |
| twad08-23-05, 09:24 PM | another way to get out of a dragon stomach? 60- Digested. |
| kam_Islash08-23-05, 11:14 PM | 61- Disintigrate |
| 20goingon123208-23-05, 11:25 PM | Max augmented Crystal Shard. Wave to your buddies. |
| Taim Kelrathos08-24-05, 12:03 AM | 63. If you're a shadowdancer, just Shadow Jump out. Won't he be surprised when his meal shows up on his back! Repeat for a paranoid dragon :D 64. Cast Evard's Black Tentacles out his ***. Even if he doesn't **** himself in fear it'll still be fun 65. Start waving a Rod of Wonder around. Eventually you'll get that angry Rhino :D |
| Seth08-24-05, 01:30 AM | It was a blue dragon as I recall Khal. Another one could be Delayed Blast FB, then teleport yourself out, if you can make the concentration checks. |
| was_fired08-24-05, 02:06 AM | I hate to break it to you but a lot of these just don't work. Anything which is a conjuration fails because there won't be enough space. Prismatic sphere fails because the spell states, "This spell functions like prismatic wall, except that you conjure up an immobile, opaque globe of shimmering, multicolored light that surrounds you and protects you from all forms of attack." Prismatic wall states, "A prismatic wall spell cast to materialize in a space occupied by a creature is disrupted, and the spell is wasted" (PHB 264). Since nothing in prismatic sphere states this isn't the case it like prismatic wall, cannot be cast in space occupied by another creature. Even if your inside of it. |
| ShadowDragon868508-24-05, 02:46 AM | Was, how about you take your killjoy self elsewhere, mmkay? 66. Huge-size-user's Adamantium caltrops with immunity to dragon's element. Garunteed to ruin any dragon's day. |
| Wraithburn08-24-05, 02:50 AM | Pff, way to go and ruin it for me. :D Wraithburn. |
| was_fired08-24-05, 02:54 AM | You know, I do infact have cards which advertise this fact: <Real Name> Jackass Killjoy Purveyor of Misfortune Extraordinaire Peoples reaction to these was well worth the ten minutes spent in word to make them. |
| nyaif3608-24-05, 04:16 AM | very few of these would be good for much other than a mage how about he has a tonsil ectumy done, or how about about simply defecating in is stomach, or some other class possibilities (wizards probably shouldn't be that close to a dragon anyway, in my experience they die and leave me all alone) |
| BadCatMan08-24-05, 04:31 AM | I once tossed a bag of caltrops into a bulette. Only 1d20 damage though (I rolled 16, not bad). I'm actually looking forward to being swallowed - my grey dwarf has full plate armour that gives total immunity to acid, and he'll soon get his immunity to poison. A purple worm once vomited on him, and he had nothing to worry about while wading through poison and acid. So being swallowed should be quite fun - especially with a a few sticks of dynamite. :D |
| skywyze08-24-05, 05:04 AM | Why in god's proverbial name would a dragon swallow someone whole?? I mean look at all the nasty stuff that can happen! |
| nyaif3608-24-05, 05:06 AM | if a halfing got stuck in his teeth that dagger would be murder on his gums |
| Venom of the Yuan Ti08-24-05, 05:12 AM | pre emtivley fill a bag of holding with salt. open the bag of holding your tricked the demi lich into getting traped in... |
| hiroshimahamster08-24-05, 07:14 AM | Get the CG psycho lesbian halfling evoker with a peculiar (not going into details) complex a meatshield (in the form of a male human fighter), a CE rogue/assassin and his apprentice and let them all get eaten. Needless to say, if this is a female dragon, she is in for a shock... (not in that way!Sickos...) Evocation hurts... Dragons don't like internal evocation, do they? :mage:  The assassins will try to death attack the dragon (probably with no success) but will then sneak attack it to death (the dragon will be flatfooted, in a way...) :D The meatshield has SPIKED full plate. Ouch (whichever way he leaves)... :gah: :evillaugh |
| Dougbert08-24-05, 11:38 AM | My characters always seem to slide out the back way early the next morning. Before the dragon starts his day of pillaging. |
| ShadowDragon868508-24-05, 11:45 AM | Because teh wizards get all the cool: 67. 5th level Druid spell from the Complete Divine. Quill Blast. As DM, I'd rule that since it originates internally, the numbers of quills striking the dragon is a maximized 4d6 for "huge or larger", which means he's taking 24d6 piercing damage, straight to the soft internals. That'll ruin your day. :) |
| kjamma408-24-05, 04:44 PM | Just start running around in big circles. Eventually you'll get pooped out. :) [Actually, the first joke my grandfather ever told me (that I actually understood) was "What do you do when you get swallowed by an elephant?"] |
| Argon_Asimov08-24-05, 07:02 PM | Guys, we're gona have to come up with some better stuff. Dragons are tough, and I mean tough as mother f***ing nails. All these ideas seem to be constructed on the basis that a dragon's mouth and digestive tract are like a humans. Dragons can eat and succesfully digest almost anything. Can you imagine the gastronomic integrity that implies? They laugh at the tingling sensation your hail of quils inflicts, even as these disintegrate in the pool of disgestive fluids in thier stomach. They mock your petty attempts to cut your way out of thier thick, leather-like and incredibly muscular stomach lining. Trying to climb out? They swallow lightly and peristalsis similar in strength to that of light construction equipment plunges you back down thier throat. Cutting thier gums? These are gums that sup on rock and bone and raw flesh alike. Your pitiful scriblings would leave nothing worse than a slight cold sore. Besides, alot of these suggestions require time, space, and a general ability to move about as you please. Let me describe to you what it might be like in those last fleeting moments of your life, spent in the small corner of hell known as the stomach of a dragon. To begin with, you've probobly got quite afew major lacerastions and broken bones all over, not to mention that you are now quite soaked in Dragon saliva, a substance, I might remind you, that it utterly impervious to flame and can begin the initial digestion of nearly any material. I imagine this would be somewhere between used motor oil and concentrated boric acid. Then, you are forced down the esophagus and deposited into an utterly black pool of acid so strong that it begins to eat the skin off your body immediatley. In this pool with you is the half-digested remains of whatever else the Dragon has eaten recently (most likely, your friends; or at least the soggy, tattered blobs of whatever if left of them). Actually, I have been misleading. This is not like a pool. It is more like a large sac; the surface is ribbed with thick muscles coated with a thick, slimy goo. These muscles work continuously to crush, tenderize, pulverish, grind, and smash anything in the stomach. Did I mention that you can't see -anything- and that there is no air? Sorry if I rained on anyone's anti-Dragon parade, I'm Just trying to paint an accurate picture of the dire situation in which we find our hypothetical selves :) So please, lets try to step it up a notch, rather than just naming our favorite spells in the PBH. |
| skywyze08-24-05, 07:21 PM | You could always use a quickened, stilled teleport spell. That doesn't require you to move even the least, and happens instantly. Besides, I think the thread was asking about funny/entertaining solutions, not realistic ones. I may be wrong though... Actually, a quickened, stilled ANYthing could work. |
| Elbethamore08-24-05, 07:33 PM | :mage: Here's a couple of ideas for a high-level wizard. Unfortunately, they all rely on a lousy saving throw on the dragon's part and a good concentration check on yours. 68. Magic Jar to swap into the body of the dragon and make a bowel movement to pass the gem before the spell duration expires. 69. The dragon can't swallow you back down if you climb up its throat while time stop is in effect. 70. Trap the soul would work a lot like the magic jar, but you wouldn't get to be the dragon for a few hours (and what fun would that be?) 71. Plane shift (anywhere has to be better than where you are now). |
| tharivol26608-24-05, 08:53 PM | i bet itd be fairly effecient just to jab his tonsils with a staff or something. 2 or three and they're blowing chunks shaped like pcs |
| ShadowDragon868508-24-05, 08:55 PM | And for the record, even a Dragon is going to have a hard time just eating an average of 84 damage - 24*13.5(average of 1d6.) Even worse if the Druid actually has the spell maximized. That's 144 damage. That'll hurt, I don't care what you are. |
| JadeSpider964308-25-05, 07:30 AM | Immoveable Rod, won't so much get you out, as pay back the bastard that just swallowed you. Charcoal!! (old trick to induce vomiting, pull a small lump out of your pocket and spread it around the stomach) Extra Strength Laxitives |
| Jack_SSW08-25-05, 12:16 PM | Immovable Rods to make a little platform, Light to see your way around(or daylight if your in a black dragon) and then start meter swarming anything that looks fragile(or semi-fragile). Oh, and use Create Wind if there really is no air in there. Boy, it's hard when you have to think realiticly. |
| Callista08-25-05, 02:19 PM | Of course there won't be any air in there--human stomachs don't contain air (unless the human has been drinking too much Mountain Dew), so why should a dragon's? That's one of the big difficulties of getting out of a dragon's stomach--you have to do it before you suffocate, while making big concentration checks just to be capable of casting spells while taking all that acid/buffeting damage. If you go to fight a dragon, and you're worried about being swallowed whole, then you should get your cleric to get you some Acid Resistance before you fight (in addition to whatever element is in the dragon's breath weapon already). Anyway, my own method of Getting Out of a Dragon's Stomach would probably be to cast Phase Door or Teleport. My Wizard characters always have that sort of "Get me out of here before I'm turned into mincemeat!" spell prepared. Plain-vanilla, but hey, it works. Another method with a non-spellcaster: Power Attack full! |
| 20goingon123208-25-05, 08:49 PM | Another method with a non-spellcaster: Power Attack full! Can't. Swallowed beings can only use a LIGHT slashing or piercing weapon to deal damage to the stomach (with its AC and HP) to get out. No Power Attack. |
| Salookanana08-25-05, 09:49 PM | While on your way down whip out your sustaining spoon, stick it in his lungs and BLAM!! DEATH BY GRUEL!!!! MWAHAHA! Or you can decanter of endless water him to death. Or if you can make your own magic weapons ahead of time.... Decanter of endless ExLax!!!! |
| Loren Pechtel08-25-05, 10:37 PM | While on your way down whip out your sustaining spoon, stick it in his lungs and BLAM!! DEATH BY GRUEL!!!! MWAHAHA! Or you can decanter of endless water him to death. Or if you can make your own magic weapons ahead of time.... I like the decanter idea. It would dilute and render harmless the acid and pretty soon the dragon would have to barf you up. |
| koragnar08-25-05, 10:49 PM | Yeah, almost none of these would work. A dragon didnt evolve to TOP of the foodchain of the entire multiverse just to have something wait in his stomach. They eat METAL for crissake, you get swallowed, you're dead. Immoveable rods would be a minor discomfort. They ARE moveable, just takes a str check, and dragons are pretty strong. Also, they would just disentigrate inside, and would stop working very soon. |
| Argon_Asimov08-25-05, 11:08 PM | I actually think the rods are a pretty good option. The strength check is fairly high if I recall, and I'm sure it would stack somehow if you managed to activate several of them. The biggest deterant I can think of is to wear spiked armor. I mean the kind with spikes on its spikes. Either that, or be revoltingly, disgustlingly,gut-wrenchingly bad tasting to dragons. They can eat alomst anything, but that doesn't mean that they will eat anything. That nice, soft fellow waving his hands about and casting cute little spells looks very tasty  I also rather like the decanter of endless water solution and the charcoal remedy. Although I think it would take quite a bit of charcoal (researched conjuration spell w/ quicken?) |
| ChimericPhase08-26-05, 01:53 AM | Its like a DC 30 to move an immovable rod. I'm sure a dragon could manage it. Otherwise they can just sit and wait until their stomach digests it. A dragon's stomach isn't just a sack of acid, ala Draconomicon: A dragon digests its food through a combinations of powerful muscular action and elemental force. The interior of the gizzard is lined with bony plates that grind up chunks of food, and the entire organ is charged with the same elemental energy that the dragon uses for its breath weapon. So far ya'll have covered a Black or Green dragon's stomach. Now lets try . . oh lets say a Blue? |
| Salookanana08-26-05, 02:03 AM | take a bag of holding and fill it with most foul, evil, dangerous alcholic beverages you can get. when swallowed, dump bag's contents. Makes dragon puke you out AND makes it drunk! Hooray beer! |
| TJMHPH08-26-05, 05:35 PM | as a cleric cast blade barrier and watch the goo begin. :D |
| Melpomene08-26-05, 05:52 PM | Bitter armour. Prevents you from being swallowed whole. |
| bobbilcon08-28-05, 09:56 PM | i was swolled by a huge creature in the water! Still dont know what it was. Any whooo i shot my bow with a rope attached to it at the tonsuls and swong my way to victoray. I forgot that i had boots of teleport on :( hahahah. #? use telecanesies to grab the tonsule and have it puke you up! |

| Radijs11-16-05, 08:22 PM | Quaal's feather token tree. :gah: BLONG! |
| Vanigo11-17-05, 08:33 PM | Dimension door is a reliable option, if not a spectacular one. It naturally lacks somatic components, so you don't have to bother stilling it. You could buy yourself some time with a bead of force, and hope your party will kill the thing and cut you out. Polymorph or shapechange into some sort of ooze. Which type depends on what type of energy damage you're taking. Any ooze, however, is capable of squeezing its way through very narrow openings, and most are rather unhealthy to eat. Gray ooze is good for fire and cold, and ochre jellies are phenomenal for electric dragons- not only are they immune to electricity damage, but they split into two oozes whenever hit by it. |
| Enlong09-17-06, 12:36 PM | One glorious word. Blink. You sink out of his bellay. If you have claws, dig your way out If you have an acid attack, melt your way out (If it isn't a black or copper, as they breathe acid) |
| Loto_GoCeraf09-17-06, 01:37 PM | If you're psychic, hostile empathic transfer. And don't leave 'til he's dead. Also, if you're psychic, an energy burst of any type (probably sonic) would be best. :dancin: Non-casters/manifesters have very few choices, unless they've got cool magic items. In the Forgotten Realms, a fighter with a ton of smokepowder and alchemist's fire could probably find a way out. :plotting: |

| Dei09-17-06, 08:25 PM | Shapechange into something big, very big, as big as possible would be good. If you're a high level druid a T-rex isn't out of the question and having one of those appear in it's gut may slightly spoil the dragon's appetite. |
| Mattarias09-17-06, 08:59 PM | dude, i'll up that t-rex thing. Dire. Porcupine. ouch. |
| Lunar_Shadow09-18-06, 12:23 PM | http://www.squidi.net/comic/amd/view.php?ep=1&id=358 When I saw your reference, I thought of this http://www.squidi.net/comic/amd/view.php?ep=1&id=70 :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie::cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: :cookie: I love AMD Whatever we are on (Forgot the number when I hit quote): Polymorph into a dragon whilst in the dragon and just shred your way out. |
| Radiun09-18-06, 12:54 PM | How about a Resilient Sphere to buy you some time? LvL ten buys you ten minutes in a 10 ft diameter sphere He can't move and he's most likely VERY uncomfortable right then. |
| Derren S.09-18-06, 01:56 PM | Get the correct energy immunity and a way to breath inside the stomach. Sooner or later you will get out -the natural way-. |

| Sphyre09-19-06, 04:51 AM | During a recent encounter with many chromatic Dragons our wizard found himself in a rather unpleasant situation...being swallowed whole by a huge green dragon. So he whips a small metal cube and says the magic word and a 30 foot tower springs forth from the dragons abdomin needless to say the dragon died and the wizard shrank the Daerns instant fortress back down and climed out with a smile. So here are some of my Ideas. I want to see what thoughts are out there on getting out of a dragon before the acids and other wonderful things kills a pc As implied by the rules... expansive magics do not burst other things (rooms, walls, creatures) they happen to be in. They either fail, or expand to the largest allowable size if they are limited by space. Not to say you can't play differently... but there if such silliness were developed in to battle strategies then the game could get even more imbalanced than it already. They make for great stories such as this thread, but when people start thinking it's actually a valid way to slay a dragon, they might be finding themselves cramped while being digested. |
| Shaggy_Shaggs09-19-06, 05:15 AM | Crawl back up into the throat to avoid being muffled by the stomach juices, and scream out "I have AIDS!*" * Pick another similarly vicious disease if you think real-world disease references won't fly with your DM. |
| Shaggy_Shaggs09-19-06, 05:16 AM | Can't. Swallowed beings can only use a LIGHT slashing or piercing weapon to deal damage to the stomach (with its AC and HP) to get out. No Power Attack. A monk with Versatile Unarmed Strike could pull this off. Natural weapons are effectively light but do work with Power Attack. |
| Sulaco09-19-06, 11:43 AM | I can think of one really obvious way...but you're not going to like... ;) |
| Trondant09-19-06, 03:38 PM | I can think of one really obvious way...but you're not going to like... ;) using a light piercing or slashing weapon to cut your way out? |
| Lyinginbedmon09-19-06, 04:32 PM | using a light piercing or slashing weapon to cut your way out? I'll say it has light at the end of it, but I'm pretty sure we all know what Sulaco means |
| Sulaco09-19-06, 05:07 PM | using a light piercing or slashing weapon to cut your way out? I was thnking more along the lines of a grease spell and a running start. It'd be kinda of like the universe's nastiest water-slide… ;) |
| Sphyre09-19-06, 05:20 PM | I was thnking more along the lines of a grease spell and a running start. It'd be kinda of like the universe's nastiest water-slide… ;) lol. crazy sulaco! ewww... |
| Lyinginbedmon09-19-06, 05:26 PM | I was thnking more along the lines of a grease spell and a running start. It'd be kinda of like the universe's nastiest water-slide… ;) Either that or the world's nasiest laxative |
| ShadowDragon868509-20-06, 08:45 AM | Step 1: Have considerable resistance/immunity to the relavent damage type. Step 2: Have DR against bludgeoning damage (so the gizzard dosen't crush you.) Step 3: A ring of adaptation or something else that obvigates the need to breathe. Step 4: permenant Grease effect. Step 5: A whole lot of roughage in a bag of holding. Cow Vindaloo works wonders. When swallowed, open up your BoH and just wait. You'll get out. |
| DracoDM0109-20-06, 09:53 PM | Step 1: Get a Nystule's Magic Spoon Step 2: Convince yor DM that the dragons bely is a container of some sort. Step 3: Take a deep breath. Step 4: Climb over the piles of dragon and slop to freedom. |
| DracoPhoenix09-21-06, 11:07 AM | For those that have the time and preparation: 1) polymorph other the stomach acid to water, just to gain some breathing space 2) soverin glue shut the entrance and exit 3) slap down as many delayed fireballs as you like / can 4) throw up a telekenetic sphere around yourself 5) polymorph other the water to an explosive compound (nitroglycerine?) 6) close eyes and use the TKS shake up the mix till the fireballs explode or, for the psion inclined A) metamorphasis into the largest, heavist spiked ball the dm will allow. or b) make a knowledge (astrophysics) DC 20 check on star formation, metamorphasis |
| Lyinginbedmon09-21-06, 02:38 PM | How many are we up to? We've got to be near 101 by now. 1. Polymorph Any Object yourself into a Tsochar (Lords of Madness) and give the dragon one heck of a case of tapeworms. |
| Grod_The_Giant09-21-06, 07:41 PM | this thread is priceless. keep it up! |
| Napoleon_the_Clown09-21-06, 08:16 PM | Nat 20 on a Diplomacy check to get it to couph you up? Cling to the uvula. Two words: Red phosphorus. If anything will burn him, that will. "I have gold on my person!" Ah, inate greed. Just hold your breath and climb through the intestines. Sure it'll be unpleasant, but it'll be faster than waiting around. |
| Grod_The_Giant09-21-06, 09:05 PM | Nat 20 on a Diplomacy check to get it to couph you up? and would YOU be convinced on a natural 20 to vomit because a voice in your stomach tells you too? summon a barbed devil (ouch!) |
| Napoleon_the_Clown09-21-06, 09:24 PM | and would YOU be convinced on a natural 20 to vomit because a voice in your stomach tells you too? summon a barbed devil (ouch!) If I'm not too hungry and the voice has a really good diplomacy score... Ethereal Jaunt, if it hasn't beem mentioned. Of course, the best approach is to just not get eaten. Only deal with good aligned dragons. :D Somehow aquire VX (Most lethal nerve gas in existance) and release it. Oh, right, and make sure you're immune to poison. (For example, be a Warforged) Ikacak. If it can vomit, that'll do the trick. Throw a fit until the DM caves and lets you out. Keep in mind, the other players will kill you at a later date. |
