10-01-05, 10:06 AM What book has the stats for a platinum dragon? and Could a half-dragon pc choose Io as his deity? I know Io's portfollio but it doesnt say what his exact stance on half-dragons are.

And gods aren't picky about who worships them, so Io would be fine with a human, dwarven, or half-dragon cleric.

10-01-05, 11:26 AM I know in 2nd edition that platinum dragon was in monster manual 2 or 3. ( yes the made a write up of it ) .

Taking what you know of 2n ed and 3.5 ed , one coudl easily translate the 2n ed platinum dragon to 3.5. That is if it already hasn't been published some place else.

Somhow that doesnt seem right that they would change the name mabye the mercury dragon is a breed of the platinum dragon. Exspecially since they pushed the name Bahamut the Platinum Dragon. I'll just try to find a copy of the 2nd edition Monster Manual 1 and 2, find the stats of the platinum dragon and the mercury dragons stats and compare the two and see what the results are.

Io is picky in his portfolio it says he only cares about his children which are dragons and will not aknowledge other races unless a dragon threatens the entire breed of dragon like a black dragon causing problems that would cause all black dragons to be wiped off the face of the earth or that same black dragon causing problems that would cause the elimination of all breeds of dragons. Thats why asked the question would he pay any attention to a half dragon because that pc is only a half-breed.

This puts up a qood question what is Io or should I say what is his breed?

10-01-05, 09:04 PM Mercury dragons are a particular type of dragon that chaotic good and has a light based breath weapon. THE platinum dragon is indeed bahamut, and is a deity and the "opposite" of tiamat. His stats can probably be found in the deities and demigods and the manual of the planes for sure. As for second edition stats, I know they're somewhere and I've seen them but as to which book, I'm at a loss. It's not in the actual monster manual though.
