| Jaith06-11-07, 07:42 PM | My dm has sprung upon us the idea of playing an epic level game, not only epic, but epic gestalt. He has the following guidelines. 1. 25th level 2. 2.5 million gp starting 3. no item may be over 1/3 starting gold 4. no ECL over +2:weep: 5. All books he owns are allowed (He has almost everything, buys like 2 books a paycheck) 6. NO MULTICLASSING-his definition being we get to combine two starting classes as the gestalt rules, and that's what we get. Now I just picked up the tome of battle two weeks ago. I love it, and I have been waiting for a chance to play a swordsage or a warblade ever since. Now I don't have to choose! I was thinking of a gestalt Swordsage/warblade 25 human. Basic I know, but I just think this thing could be DOOM. Also I was thinking of playing him as a two weapon fighter with a bastard sword and his off hand being unarmed strike. I also wanna stick with light armor. I really like the setting sun abilities. What are some suggestions you would pose? Where wouyld I find the epic rules for tome of battle? Do you like my idea? Heck, if you're bored enough, write me up what you would do. thanks |

It's an awesome book and they are awesome classes, but they are going to overlap quite a bit. I'd maybe suggest considering gestaling a Swordsage/Wizard. With all the abilities of both classes I doubt you'll ever find yourself in a situation you couldn't deal with. Also, it gives you something to do from range. As a Swordsage/Warblade you've really limited yourself to melee combat only. Just my :twocents: |

| pmurray@bigpond.com06-11-07, 11:30 PM | We also are doing gestalt, and it's wildly overpowered :D . Consider crusader, swordsage, and warblade are Cha, Wis and Int classes respecively. So: (Favored Soul | Sorcerer | Warlock | Warmage) & Crusader (Monk | Cleric | Druid) & Swordsage (Wizard | Rogue) & Warblade A Druid/Swordsage is scary to contemplate. |
