I quit playin about two years ago due to total lack of players till now.The problem is, I only have the 3rd edition rulebooks and there is nowhere in my area that sells the 3.5 books (letalone ANYTHING D&D)My question is:Is all the new 3.5 stuff compatable with a 3rd edition handbook?I.E. can I take some of the NPCs on this site and still use them with my out of date rulebooks?

Thanks

The SRD. (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=d20/article/srd35)

Reading the SRD will familiarize you with the changes you'll need to know. If you just want to use 3.5e NPCs, you'll probably only need to read the races, classes, skills, and feats sections. Yes, you can use 3.5e NPCs with little difficulty. Converting shouldn't be a problem and common sense or just arbitrary decisions should fix any problems you might have.

Cool thanks for the help. Then Im guessing the rest of the 3.5 additions and changes are easy to convert too.

For the most part, yes. It is still largely 3rd edition and it still uses the D20 system. There are some people around here with links to sites that detail all of the changes in a very clear and concise manner for you. I'm sorry I can't provide the links but you'll not have any trouble finding them.
