| graddlin01-31-07, 04:14 AM | Class: Cleric Level 13 Spells: Antimagic Field+Starmantle Feat: Initiate Of Mystra Optional Feat: Divine Metamagic: Persist Spell Makes you immune to all attacks. Magnificent!! Thats something I've certainly never seen in my Role-playing days!! I'll just neglect to mention that little tidbit of information to my Players! Thank you, friend. |
| graddlin01-31-07, 04:16 AM | Class: Wizard 9 or Sorcerer 10 Spells: Flesh to Ice+Shatter+Ice to Flesh Feat: None Shattered enemy **NOTE** Has a tendency to make a mess How gruesome! Perhaps I shall use that one when I have a troublesome PC that is need of a rude awakening! I aplaud you! BRAVO!! |
| graddlin01-31-07, 04:19 AM | Class: Cleric Level 9 Spells: Revenance+Revivify Feat: None True Resurrection for 1000 GP Most impressive. That is truly a steal in the resurrection department! |
| graddlin01-31-07, 04:21 AM | Class: Sorcerer 6/Incantatrix 10 Spells: Greater Arcane Fusion+Arcane Fusion+Celerity+Magic Missile Feats: Arcane Thesis: Greater Arcane Fusion, Invisible Spell, Sanctum Spell, Mark of the Dauntless, Rapid Metamagic, Iron Will You can nova and grant yourself a number of standard actions equal to you combined total of 6th, 7th, and 8th level spell slots used, ignore the daze effect of Celerity, and net a total of Nx5d4+Nx5 force damage from Magic Missile where N=the number of slots used. Incredible! I can see that you have a mastery of the arcane arts, friend! You are certainly one spellcaster that I would love to DM for! Finally, someone who knows the ropes well enough to survive the game as a spellcaster! You are a genius, friend. |
| Animae_Draconum01-31-07, 04:50 AM | Class: Wizard 11 or Sorcerer 12 Spells: Flesh to Stone+Disentegrate Feat: None Kicker: Planeshift to the Abyss and put the dust inside an Antimagic Field, then apply permanency. Opponent that cannot be resurrected because they by definition of Flesh to Stone are not dead(i.e the soul cannot be retrieved for a resurrection). They need a Wish or Miracle spell to first assemble all the pieces of the dust in one place, then another to restore the statue, and finally a Stone to Flesh to revert their fallen friend. If you apply the kicker then not even a wish or miracle will tell you where they are or bring the dust to you, they will have to guess at the numerous planes as to where their all but dead PC friend is, this usually results in rolling up a new character. |
| runestar01-31-07, 04:59 AM | Class: 1st Level Sorcerer. Spell Combo: Mage Armor + shield. Feat: Dodge. A very simple stacking of spells and a Feat that can provide a +12 AC bonus for a time against a foe. Shield gives only a +4 shield bonus in 3.5, so its just a +9 AC bonus.:) |
| Tempest Stormwind01-31-07, 11:25 AM | For those of you blatantly pulling things off of the CO boards, at least have the courtesy to cite your sources (the Cheater of Mystra and the basic idea behind the Arcane Nova are both present here, uncited). |
| The_Puppetmaster01-31-07, 11:38 AM | Class: Warblade / Swordsage 18 Maneuvers: Time Stands Still, Avalance of Blades, Feral Death Blow Active Stance: Wolf Pack Tactics Use Time Stands Still maneuver to grant you 2 Full Round Actions. Attack with Avalance of Blades, moving 5 ft. around your opponent after each attack via WPT. Finish with Feral Death Blow. I know it's not a spell, but the thread said +3 Super Combo, and I think this is a blast to do. Preferrably with a greatsword. :) |
| Tempest Stormwind01-31-07, 11:59 AM | Class: Warblade 18 Maneuvers: Time Stands Still, Avalance of Blades, Feral Death Blow Active Stance: Wolf Pack Tactics Use Time Stands Still maneuver to grant you 2 Full Round Actions. Attack with Avalance of Blades, moving 5 ft. around your opponent after each attack via WPT. Finish with Feral Death Blow. I know it's not a spell, but I think it's a blast to do. Slight variation thereof: Warblade 18 Time Stands Still, Avalanche of Blades, White Raven Tactics, Raging Mongoose. Stormguard Warrior, any Two-Weapon Fighting feats you can fit in there. 0) Shout "And now, the overture!". Optional, but recommended. 1) Using Stormguard Warrior's Combat Rhythm technique, initiate Avalanche of Blades. Net effect: *Touch* your target for no damage, but since the attack was successful, you can make another at -4. Keep going until you miss (this will be a *LOT* of attacks, as your opponent likely has a low touch armor class). 2) Initiate White Raven Tactics, targeting YOURSELF. This should be accompanied by saying "Here comes the crescendo!". 3) On your immediate next turn, initiate Raging Mongoose and Time Stands Still. Every single touch attack from the Avalanche Rhythm stunt adds +5 damage to each of these attacks, and you get a *lot* of them (your normal amount +2, all doubled). You get bonus points if you hum the tune while you do this, timing your strikes in time with the cannons. If your group doesn't get the reference, you may need to educate them about it (http://www.telusplanet.net/~sdupuis/Tempest/CRESCENDO.swf) afterward. |
| Animae_Draconum01-31-07, 01:09 PM | For those of you blatantly pulling things off of the CO boards, at least have the courtesy to cite your sources (the Cheater of Mystra and the basic idea behind the Arcane Nova are both present here, uncited). Very well, I will give credit to the CO work that takes the basic concepts to the extreme. I am correct to cite Tleilaxu_Ghola on the Arcane Nova Here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=747279)? Granted I was unaware of the Cheater of Mystra and from what I just read of the original thread Funny Slaughter and Neonsamurai use the feat for similar but different purposes(starmantle is never mentioned in the entire thread). The build is very well done but I see no direct reference I have made here since PGtF is a common book and it uses the same feat that said build hinges upon. I will not give credit to CO work for using any single feat not used in conjunction with anything from that thread. If anyone knows of anyone else I shoudl cite for above spell combos let me know and I'll be glad to do so as long as it's not trivial like Cheater of Mystra. T_G gets full credit on the Arcane Nova as best I can tell. A_D |
| graddlin02-01-07, 04:39 AM | Shield gives only a +4 shield bonus in 3.5, so its just a +9 AC bonus.:) I don't recall stating that this was a discussion on the rules of the game, friend. I still have a 3.0 PHB. I did, however, ask if you had any interesting combinations of spells an / or feats. Yet, you nit-picked at a silly mix up between Editions? Come now, there is no need for such knavery. You and I are both mature adults. So, I state again: Got any cool combinations of Spells and/or Feats? 3.5 and 3.0 included. |
