3.5 Newbie needs advice 4 Ranger build [Archive] - Wizards Community

I'm new to 3.5 edit. Played 3.0 a year ago. Now I need good advice to build a strong bow Ranger. Thing is, I don't know 3.5 rules well. DM is a fair guy, but really hard and play will be mostly hacknslash. He only allows 1 prestige class, and uses all forgotten realms stuff (including 3.0 material) and core books + complete warrior/divine and book of exalted deeds. Normally I would just make a char and have fun, but this DM always attacks with full power and tells us to make better chars next time... So optimization/maxing is a must. I admit that I would like to give him a hard time in combat, just for once :D

10-06-04, 05:31 PM Maybe you should post this down in the "Character Optimization" boards. They can help you make the best damn archer you can be. Since it's hacknslash you likely won't care that it's more about the numbers than the flavor value, right?
