5th lvl char... [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-01-04, 07:48 PM ok im a 5th lvl char, and i dont even have 1000 gold. it seems something is wrong with this, am i right?

02-01-04, 08:34 PM I would hate to be you if I ever got logged off. Also, you might want to add a little more meat to your posts; like for instance: WHY is something wrong with that in your opinion?

02-01-04, 08:38 PM umm ok, well it just seems like to me a 5th lvl char (btw im a rogue) would have much more then 1k at lvl 5. but i dunno thats me, and thats why im askin.

02-01-04, 09:48 PM Are you referring to cash or are you referring to your combined wealth, including the value of any magic items?

The first isn't necessarily a problem. The party that I just DMed gained a total of 6 gp to split among themselvs after their first adventure and reequipping. However, their average wealth is well above what they should have for their level.

The second ... could be a problem. It really depends on your DM and the style of campaign that he's running, but it can be very difficult to balance the party's low wealth with the CRs they should be facing.
