Akeira 11-10-04, 05:13 PM	hi all, i have a character with a draconic cohort. this cohort is a young battle dragon with 10 HD. she's just barely made it to medium size. i have the draconomicon, obviously, and am using those rules for leveling up and having to take 'dragon levels' every once in a while. she has a +4 level adjustment making her ECL 14 so, thing is my cohort has just gained enough xp to get to ECL 15. i am far from going up an age catagory or anything so i was going to take a character class or presteige class. all the PrC in draconomicon are for much older dragons, so i was wondering what you guys could recomend. my first inclination was to go sorc. since my actual character -who's cohort this is- has a dragon bloodline from unearthed arcana tweeked to be a battle dragon bloodline and shes a sorc. -battle sorc from UnA as well, actually- the PC and cohort are distant relatives -how quaint, i know- so i thought it fitting if they were both sorcs. but really.. battle dragons dont get spell casting abilities and her feats are all combat oriented ie. multi attack-improved multi attack- armor prof.- fly by attack- and the like; she preferes melee combat. this leads me to think i should choose fighter as her first level. then she would get a few bonus feats and be a real tank. in that case i need recomendations for feats, if you have any. the other options im considering are bard or cleric or some presteige class i dont as yet know about. bard because battle dragons are really acomplished performers and can inspire courage as bards do. cleric because she worships the Old Man -military god from Kingdoms of Kalamar which is were we are playing- and could then cure herself and others and still be pretty formidable in battle. also, another battle dragon ability is protection from evil- which is kind of clerical. as far as the last option of an unknown presteige class, i seek to profit from the infinate knowledge of the msg boards - that means you-... ... so what do you recomend? thanks

delroland 11-12-04, 02:23 PM	sorc would grab you some buff/protection spells to use. And stack with the sorceror levels you get for being a dragon. Or you could go for barbarian/FB. Raging and frenzied dragons scare the crap out of people.
Draco_the_Druid7187 11-12-04, 08:59 PM	I'd go with a sorcerer. Get some protection spells. Also, i dont know how powerful your dragon is, so if it has enough hit points, go with a barbarian. Get rage then multiclass to a fighter. P.S.: how do u get a picture by your name? I just joined and have no clue
