Well this is what happend were in the middle of a campaign taken from the movie the Prophecy where the angels revolt and declare war on Earth well one of the players is 3/4 fiend and 1/4 angel, I am the Trumpet Archon one of the few angels that chose to not to join the revolt and I was sent to protect him and the rest of the group by the god or goddess of good and the same goes for Evil.
The problem is that how do, I control my temper when he changes into his true form where he looks like a fiend he has a special bandana to make him look human and, I have no problem with that only when he transforms. I can't kill him cause he is an essential part to complete the campaign.
The thing is I found out yesterday that he was 3/4 fiend and 1/4 angel but I didn't know what he looked like in his true form he went one way and told everyone else to go another way and he said he had to settle a vendetta(and part of it is he has a death wish and I also have to prevent his chance in killing himself) well when I caught up to him he was in his true form and I striked him cause he was battling a mud golem by himself and I didn't know it was him, I just thought it was a poor golem getting attacked by something evil the golem was LG. :banghead:
He was kind enough to not kill me but I'm afraid to go and follow his tracks again(out of charachter knowledge he is back with the party and one of the NPC she is the avatar to the god or goddess of neutrality and is in "LOVE" with him and she will be:hoppingma if she finds out)
So I just put myself into a big pile of crap. :weep: How can I get out of this when I go towards the rest of the party and "if" he decides to say something about it.

The DM that is running the campaign is the same one that I was talking about in my thread Fighting a God.

Well, my first question is how would the appearance of your teammate change your feelings?

2nd question: How did he get 3/4 fiend 1/4 celestial? There are no 'quarters.'

3rd: How did he obtain a false, and true form?

4th: How does an avatar to a deity not know when someone/thing is evil? Shouldn't they be able to, at least, generalize through subtle hints. After all, they answer directly to deities.

5th: How are the character levels set out? Does your Archon have 4 class levels in another class, or are you using Savage Progression? If the latter is true, Trumpet Archon+4 levels=ECL 24. Half-Fiend+6 class levels=ECL 10. No way the Half-Fiend would have been a threat. Otherwise, 4 levels in Trumpet Archon vs ECL 10. Either way, this campaign has so many balance issues, its not even funny.

1st point: Trumpet Archons aren't so vehement on the subject of destroying evil as Angels are. Archons rarely have much trouble keeping themselves in line, in reference to anger.

2nd point: A Lawful Good Golem isn't really necessary to 'save.' I couldn't imagine a Lawful Good Outsider feeling 'pity' for a Clay Golem.

Answer #1. I didn't know it was him. An angel that we killed he was a tainted one said with his dying breath we are to late fiends have entered into heaven and the other good planes so, I thought he was one of those demons.

Answer #2. I don't know. I'm set on he receives an offer he can't refuse or blackmail.

Answer #3. A god took pity on him so he received a special bandana.

Answer #4. I don't know the entire story, I joined a couple days late. So far all of what it looks like is she was sent in to protect him and not to divulge any of his secrets.

Answer #5. Normal rules. I'm a level 4 cleric. The half-fiend is a level 6 ??. He has pretty good strength from a ring of three wishes he found. I was around for that he wished for a considerable increase in strength he rolled a percentile and landed a 100 so his strength was doubled. My DM created special tables for something like that. The penalty was a minus 10 to all attack rolls he hated that but he was still combat worthy.

Answer to 1st point. My backround story was, I had a brother that was brutally killed by a fiend, the fiend got away and, I swore an oath on my brothers grave that justice will be served, the other archons understand and help me try to find the fiend and the gods took pity on me. so when, I come into contact with a fiend my blood just boils.

Answer to 2nd point. The golem was a servant of one of my deitys friends.

By the way Nuntius 128. Part of your sig about detecting evil is very :twitch: disturbing.

Actually, it is theoretically possible to be a 3/4 fiend and 1/4 angel.
1st parent = 1/2 fiend, 1/2 angel
2nd parent = full fiend

True form would be the form that the character prefers the most, and the "false form" would be the form the character had to use to keep society for using mob justice on him, or simply, the form he took to stay alive.

I'm talking mechanics. There is no 1/4, or 3/4 template.

Also, for the Regular set-up for levels, did you start out with the Trumpet Archon without ECL, or HD from Savage Species?

True form would be the form that the character prefers the most, and the "false form" would be the form the character had to use to keep society for using mob justice on him, or simply, the form he took to stay alive.

Again, mechanics. Mechanically, how does a Half-Fiend go about having an alternate form?

They used the half-fiend template but increased the stats increments by .5 so for an example if strength after everything was figured out, strength was a total of 10 and the strength modifier in the template increased it by 5 so strength is now 15 that .5 increment would make it a 20.

Just took it out of Monster Manual 1. The DM just told me to roll dice for my stats and add the stats in the book into a total number. Thats it.

It was a special blessing bestowed upon him by a god. The blessing was bestowed on his bandana its like polymorph the only difference is its a one way ticket as long as he is wearing it he looks like a human, but when he takes it off he transforms into his fiend/celestial form.

Ahh, got it. That makes sense now.
