How many spells per page in a Wizards spellbook?

Can't find it ANYWHERE! ::arrrgh!::

Hubby is thinking of playing a Tattooed Wizard, with his spellbook written ALL over him. We know how many pages per body part, just not how many spells per page.

Maybe I am just blind today, but would someone help me?

I don't remember where it lists it, but I think it's at least one page per spell level.

From the 3.0 SRD:

Writing a New Spell into a Spellbook
Once a wizard understands a new spell, the wizard can record it into his or her spellbook.
Time: The process requires 1 day plus 1 additional day per spell level. Zero-level spells require 1 day.
Space in the Spellbook: A spell takes up 2 pages of the spellbook per spell level. A 0-level spell takes a single page. A spellbook has 100 pages.

Not sure if it changes in 3.5, but I wouldn't expect it to.

It's a neat idea, but there's a major problem with it: there are body parts that he wouldn't be able to see and therefore read:
His back, the top of his head, his ears, the back of his neck, etc. Also what does he do about clothing? Does the party get a strip show every time he studies his spells? ;)

He could always get someone to read it for him....

"Some spell tatoos can be placed so that the caster can read them simply by looking down, while others need the aid of mirrors or even a familiar to study their tatoos." -from the Complete Arcane pg. 186

And yes, he'd have to disrobe for some, or most of the spells, but that doean't mean he can't wear a loin-cloth of somekind, you know :D

"Honey can you read me the 'Enlarge' spell please I need for the battle today."

"Where did you put it?"

"....Uhm."

XD That'd be interesting...

As per 3.5 SRD:

Space in the Spellbook: A spell takes up one page of the spellbook per spell level. Even a 0-level spell (cantrip) takes one page. A spellbook has one hundred pages.

You can also find it in the PHB on page 179.

It's still kick-ass flavourwise. One of these days I want to get a wizard who has one special spell tattooed on her...don't know that I'd want to dump the feat and/or class levels into it, maybe pay someone to do it for me. But it'd be cool to have people look and go, "ooh, nice tattoo, what's it mean?" And my reply: "Well, besides being a design representing the Silver Flame, it also happens to be a Prismatic Spray spell..."

Maybe a scrying spell focused on the character's back side? Or a crystal ball and a magnifying glass?
