| Wonton200612-21-07, 02:28 AM | So a little while ago I started up a solo campaign for which i exclusively created a character. He is Tiefling and is currently Rogue 5/Swashbuckler 1/Invisible Blade 4. He and his feint abilities worked pretty well for soloing. Except now I have a good friend of mine joining the campaign. So I'm just thinking... what kind of character should we make for him? He would be ECL 11 as well. My friend likes humans and killing things with swords, so something based on fighter (he doesn't like barbarians) probably. Also, one more thing to keep in mind... the DM stated that it would be a "infiltration and espionage" campaign... (at least for the first little while), something my guy's very good at, and something we have to make sure the other character is also decent at. Any ideas? Oh btw we have access to... Complete warrior, complete adventurer, complete arcane, DM's guide, monster manual 1,2 and 3, player's handbook, races of eberron, draconomicon, expanded psionics handbook, races of the wild, libris mortis, epic level handbook, complete scoundrel, Stormwrack... and probably some more stuff I forgot. |

I kind of like the Urban Ranger variant with it's favored enemy being an organization. This depends if you are in the city. He will want a good ranks in Hide, Move silently, listen, spot, bluff and sense motive. For infiltration I would look at the Nightforce Stalker and Enforcer to augment teamwork. He would then be able to keep tabs on you and give higher bonus on flanking. This keeps him more combat oriented. ;) |
