| Elendoras Greenleaf01-03-06, 03:48 PM | Well the "problem " is this... in the upcomming game i have to make a character. The party is composed of 2 fighters, one rogue and one sorcerer all level 1. Useful info for future posters: ->starting level: 1 ->starting gold: 900gp ->rolled stats: 10 11 11 12 12 18 ->allowed books: phb+dmg i need sume sugestions on the path i should take. Of course the first thing that comes to mind is a cleric but with those stats i'm again walking at crawling speed (with a max 12 strenngth i'll be on medium encumberance at best). Other thought i had was to make another fighter focued on tripping/disarming and hoping to drop all the enemies fast before they can do anything (we have lost of fire power :) ) i'm not looking at the BEST option yet (i'll go to character optimization for that) i'm asking for opinions/other options :). thanks for the time :D |

| SamirTrollslayer01-04-06, 10:00 AM | A dwarven fighter with a 12 in con to get a 14 or an elven ranged fighter. Crappy con but stay away and try not to get hit... |
| Araciel01-04-06, 10:09 AM | a wizard, maybe elven would be good. since wizards mostly focus on int, and elves get a bonus to dex. though the con penalty would hurt, if you are playing 3.0 you can just get a toad familiar and offset it...or take the toad in 3.5 anyway and get the toughness feat, adding 3 hp. |
| TheChilliGod01-04-06, 01:35 PM | You do that encumbrance penalties and armor penalties don't stack, don't you? Meh, I'd say go with the elf wizard. Put the 18 in intelligence, and your 12's in dex & con. Try to offset the loss of con with a toad familiar, as Araciel suggested, and otherwise you're going to heavily rely on your friends for defensive support. Know the moves withdraw and total defense, for they will help you. |
