Using 3.5
I don't really know too much about D&D but have a lvl 4 Half-Orc Barbarian. but I used to have a lvl 4 monk but got bored of him and are now transforming him to this Barbarian by transfering the XP. I know this shouldn't happen but we are playing how we want to... so back off.
I was wondering what advice or changes I should make.
(He is meant to be a crazy badass)

Chaotic Evil
6'10

HP: 32
AC: 15

STR: 20
DEX: 15
CON: 13
INT: 11
WIS: 13
CHA: 11

Using a Great Axe with studded leather.

Skills:
Climb: 12
Intimidate: 7
Jump: 12
Swim: 12

FEATS:
I havent decided on feats yet. What would you recommend.

This stuff can be changed around as I am not yet using him.
Thank you

(Sorry made this thread without realizing that there was a character optimization section - move it if you want)

Switch skill points for intimidate and swim, unless your dm has a habit of having water adventures.

Feats: power attack and cleave (definitely power attack -1 on attack = +2 on damage for two-handed weapon).

For a barbarian, it is VITAL to have a large amount of blue paint available. Just undress, dump a few pints on your naked, hairy body, shout "You'll ne'er take our freedom" and charge at the enemies. Scares the Wallace...erm willies out of them.

The first two feats you should invest in are Power Attack and Cleave, as have been mentioned. From there I would recommend the following:

Great Cleave (depends on the battles your DM sets)
Greater Resiliency (Complete Warrior)
Improved Toughness (Complete Warrior)
Extended Rage (Complete Warrior)

If going Core only, Weapon Focus is always good to offset the Power Attack penalty you'll likely be taking.

If I see that much strength in my campaigns, Improved Unarmed Strike and Improved Grapple are first on my list. I have to give with you that I usually use humanoid foes to my PC's, so no big bad high-strength monsters.

Raise your constitution or dex more, you will get hit ALOT as a barbarian so you either need to get that dex up there or just flat out have massive HP's to take the damage. I recommend the Constitution route.

Thanks for all the advice. But what about all these crazy prestige Barbarians? I don't really know anything about prestige classes so what are they all about.

My advice: Skip prestige classes for now.

I would trade out swim for Survival, and take Track as a feat. It lets you do more than just smash things. It helps you find things to smash!

If your DM allows Faerun material, take the Headlong Rush Orc racial feat from Races of Faerun.

In a nutshell, it allows you to deal double damage on a charge at the cost of -4 to AC and a provoked AoO for the round. But double damage and Cleave with a two-handing Barbarian usually means that there's nothing left to benefit from the AoO at the end of your turn. :)
