| rks01-24-06, 07:06 PM | She was alone, after the short battle with a beholder. Jina (female human rogue5/chameleon2) hid herself and the beholder dissapeared. Her party was gone and nothing was to be found at the place of the battle, except the fallen comrade Ewons remains in form of dust. He had been struck by a green-tinted ray shortly after Jina had been struck by another ray. The ray had made her extremely afraid and she had fled, running blindly away. -- Ok! We are playing Vaolt of Larin Karr (Necromancer Games) and Jina is alone in the Underdark. The other partymembers has left her alone (teleported away with scrolls) so she is pretty alone. She knows where to go to find an exit to the surface, but it is a few days to a weeks march. She is carrying a ring of sustenance, thus only need to sleep 2 hours/day. On the other side does she need to rest 6 additional hours to gain new spells. She can cast divine spells (level 0-2, of any spell-list). She is fairly good at skills, the most interesting right now being: Search +15-24 (depending on situation), Listen 11, Spot 13, Climb 10-12, Hide 5-7, Move silently 14-16, Open lock 21-23, Survival 11-13. She has some magic items, but nothing that helps her to see in the darkness. Oil is in abundance, and she is in possession of a hodded lantern. But light attracts monsters... What is important - except her life - is that in her Bag of Holding are the major plot items, unique ones, which cannot be lost! What should her strategy be? (And what kind words is she going to say to her "comrades in arms" who abandoned her? :-) Robert Karlsson Svärd - underdark in Sweden too |

Also your other companions might just try scrying on you if they have that abitily and see you and come and get you. They may just be trying to recover the item you have and want to know were to get them. |
| konrad_the_tall01-24-06, 07:44 PM | first off, tips to stay unnoticed. .take time to cover your tracks, it will increase the time of your journey but its worth it. .get some grime or mud and dark your face and hair up. this will make you harder to spot .blacken any blades you have by running them under a candle, it won't perminently mark them but it will soot up the blade and its wipes stright off on a cloth. capture a drow and force him to revel the exit. |
| Piff01-24-06, 08:15 PM | I only play 2ed so im not sure if this will work but here's what i have to say about the spells. In 2ed it says to rememorize a spell you must spend 10 minutes per level of spell to rememorize the spell. Thus a first would need 10 minutes, level 2 needs 20 minutes and so on. They might of changed this in 3.X so I have no idea. |

| Thubby01-24-06, 09:59 PM | discintegrate, which is what killed them, leaves equipment, did a wizard die, did anyone have rod/ staff/ scroll of teleport, or even just dimension door. if so, take arc/div focus(whatever works) and get going, leomunds tiny hut is a low level cover spell, sleep in it. if none of these are good, i wouldnt sleep, just keep runnin. the fatigue will be an annoyance, but youll get out MUCH faster. keep expeditios retreat on, you outrun most things, and double your escape time |
