| Dragen White03-08-06, 07:03 PM | could i use alterself as the spell, to form my hands into claws to attack with? or is this not classified as huminoid? FYI im a fighter with the momentary alteration feat from the UA |
| JulesCARV03-08-06, 07:18 PM | Troglodytes and lizardfolk both get claw and bite attacks. Troglodytes get multiattack as a bonus feat, though, so they do it better. |
| Turel03-08-06, 07:25 PM | do u mean just your hands? Alter Self is a whole body thing, special Prestige classes and some other spells turn your hands/feet/jaw into claws/bite. |
| shadowfox62803-08-06, 08:18 PM | Alter Self is appearance. Though, technically, giving yourself claws is changing appearance, I think it's out of the question. To me, you're asking for something more along the lines of Polymorph. |
| Throg03-08-06, 11:19 PM | From SRD You acquire the physical qualities of the new form while retaining your own mind. Physical qualities include natural size, mundane movement capabilities (such as burrowing, climbing, walking, swimming, and flight with wings, to a maximum speed of 120 feet for flying or 60 feet for nonflying movement), natural armor bonus, natural weapons (such as claws, bite, and so on), racial skill bonuses, racial bonus feats, and any gross physical qualities (presence or absence of wings, number of extremities, and so forth). A body with extra limbs does not allow you to make more attacks (or more advantageous two-weapon attacks) than normal That's what it says under Alter Self, so if you assume a 5HD creature that has a claw attack, then yes, you can use it to give yourself a claw attack. |
