| DemonsOfRazgriz12-06-04, 10:41 PM | Is there a way to make a charachter that is imortal and have quick regeneration. I decided a week ago to make a charachter with quick regeneration when I told my friend about it he said, you can't do that because their is no way without making it into a demi-god state. Yet a few day's after he declared he was going to make one that's imortal and has quick regeneration pretty much imitating the t.v. show or the movie's Highlander. He pretty much declares anything we want for our charachter unfair or he refuse's to do it. He rip's off our ideas and when we complain about he say's we never thought of it and we are trying to steal his ideas. Can anyone help me so my friend's and I can finally get our revenge on him. P.S. Are there any feats to enable a charachter to bend time a little bit. If any of you people are able to help me, I'm in your debt. |
| e-z0r12-06-04, 10:46 PM | Well, the wizard gets the spell Time Stop, eventually. |
| DemonsOfRazgriz12-06-04, 10:54 PM | I know about that but I mean because of a Feat, Item, Weapon, Armor, Race, or Class. If there isn't really anything in the books then, I guess, I will try and get in contact with a represenitive of Dungeons and Dragons, and see what they say. |
| PhaedrusXY12-07-04, 03:15 AM | A fiendish troll would regenerate and be immortal. (At least by my reckoning) |
| SnowbearK12-07-04, 03:48 AM | Nope. Not even close. |
| Shard of Suzail12-07-04, 08:33 AM | Ragriz, you need to lighten up, my friend. All this talk of "revenge" and "contacting a representative of D and D if the books have nothing", well, it sounds like you are going about this the wrong way. You need to just enjoy the game in a normal way, without wanting it to cater for wierd whims like immortality and quick regen. As with most games, such things, like becoming a liche or being immortal, are eventual goals that should be worked for. Your gm may well use some of your ideas for unusual npc's, but, as they are so overpowered, i wouldnt worry about it. Those characters will have about as much influence on the game as the God Mystra, if you arent epic level characters. You wont have to worry about fighting them, because they`ll just kill you and the game will end. If all this is is an argument over who thought up what first, then there is no help we can give you on these boards. Your friend is being immature and unpleasant and there is no way you can fix that in game. You best bet is to simply get some new friends. If you continue to play with him, then he`ll keep acting the same way. |
| malykoth12-07-04, 09:58 AM | Are flaming fiendish troll paragons immortal? |
| DemonsOfRazgriz12-07-04, 10:13 AM | I know it's a little selfish but my other friends and I we just try to make a contribution to D&D like when, I thought of the charachter with quick regeneration. It was my intention to try to turn into a new breed of monster or a twist on an old one. My best friend he designed a beautiful sword for the dracolyte(prestige class from draconomicon) it was designed to compliment the class. The friend stole the design and the stats(and he modified them to what he thought would make it great) for it created his own dracolyte he turned a great sword that could strike fear into your oppenent's into a rusted sword that couldn't even frighten an earth-worm. We tried to get rid of him and "we tried everything twice" nothing works the longest he hasn't played with us was one week. That's why we want try and beat him to the punch line in creating this charachter this is our last chance in order to make him stop playing with us, he has extremlly high hopes for this creation if we make it nos so great and begin to steal his designs it might make him stop playing with us so we can finally play a game in peace, and for once in a long-time have fun. |

| niesl12-07-04, 10:38 AM | There is some 3rd party book/file that has rules on Immortality in D and D. It was based on the Highlander stories. Unfortunately, if forgot the name....Try to find that, you can use or alter those rules. For the regeneration, just look at templates that give it apply it to your character. |
| eudas12-07-04, 10:57 AM | What's the problem? Why jump through the extra hoops? Just tell the guy not to show up on game night anymore. And if he does, kick him out. eudas |
| PhaedrusXY12-07-04, 01:02 PM | Nope. Not even close.Read up on it more. Fiends and other denizens of the outer planes don't age, as they are the spirits of mortals who have died and passed on to the afterlife. So they are effectively "immortal" in the sense that they don't age and never die of old age. And everyone knows trolls regenerate fast... |
| BloodGod12-07-04, 01:24 PM | Wish for immortality. Wish for regeneration. -BG |
| malykoth12-07-04, 01:34 PM | Wish for immortality. Wish for regeneration. -BG Oh, I would love to see what my DM would do with these wishes! Um...on second thought, I'm a bit afraid of what he'd do with them... |
| DemonsOfRazgriz12-07-04, 03:00 PM | [QUOTE=eudas]What's the problem? Why jump through the extra hoops? Just tell the guy not to show up on game night anymore. And if he does, kick him out. We tried that no matter what we say to him or what we do to his charachter(s), he still shows up, and saying I'm ready to play. I'll say this again we tried everthing twice(A-Z) nothing works. He's like a cockroach. |
| eudas12-07-04, 03:12 PM | I just get this image of monkeys in my head. A bunch of monkeys who didn't like another monkey would beat him up and chase him away. (Throwing poop is optional.) Anyway, whose house does he show up at? Just don't let him in! Is this a person you hang out with outside of D&D? And if you do (for some reason) have to let him in, just ignore whatever he tries to do. He can watch, but not play. eudas |
| Kainy12-07-04, 08:15 PM | Don't let him in. Don't tell him when you're playing. If you play at a specific time, change it, tell him to bugger off when he shows up at the regular time. Not even the gods are immortal, they just have high DR, and often fast healing. Fast healing is a great way to be hard to kill, though. That's a feat my epic characters take the heck out of. |
| Scipion Emilien12-07-04, 10:51 PM | An elven druid could do that, at lvl 20 druid stop to age and for the regenaration they could heal themselves. And be elven give him 700 years to get that lvl 20. |
| Callista12-09-04, 12:55 AM | Hmm... It sounds to me like you're playing an Epic-level game--perhaps the Epic boards would get you better advice? |
| Cade Hedger12-09-04, 05:50 PM | well, if he keeps stealing the idea you tell him.... STOP TELLING HIM YOUR IDEAS!... from reading this is seams like they really arent your friend... and if hes not the DM just ask the DM to not let him play, its kinda hard for him to do anything in game when he character doesnt exsit... |
| kliate12-09-04, 06:07 PM | Step 1: Become a Lich Step 2: Live in the negative energy plane. |
