Extra HD: Are the extra HD rolled and added to HP along with the con modifier or is just the con modifier for each HD added? Saves and BAB: I am correct when I conclude that the Animal Companions BAB and Saves are that of a Druid of a level equal to the ANimal companions HD? Skill points gained dues to extra HD: It says this can be found in the monster manual, does anyone know which page? All I could find was rules to use when creating a new monster. Should I use these to determine which skills and the number of skill points an animal companion would have? Thanks in adavanced for any and all help recieved. I appologize if this topic has been mentioned numerous times, but the search feature wasn't working. If there is a topic that covers this and you want to post a link, that would be appreciated as well. |

Look in the monster manual for adjusting monsters. No your animal wont increase in size when its HD get larger. Also you will find how many skill points it gets based off its additional HD. With the penalty to INT, its most likely only going to get one skill point. The skills the animal gets as class skills are listed in their entry. Usualy spot, listen, hide, ect.. sometimes others just depends on the animal, you'll have to look up the animal in the MM to find what skills are in its entry. You can also find all this fun info in the SRD if you dont have the MM avalible. :D |
