Aura of chaos essentially states that any maxed out damage dice in melee will be rerolled with the initial roll added to the total ad infinitum. Now, does this effect only apply to the straight melee damage of the weapon itself, i.e only the 2d6 for a greatsword or does it also apply to the bonus damage on things like manuevers and sneak attack damage. Mainly I'm thinking about divine surge with its plethora of d8's which is melee damage but also divine something-or-other kind of damage. Also in application to a manuever like foehammer with its additional damage that isn't stated as being magical in any way, just you hitting your opponent harder.

Basically I'm asking that if you were in the aura of chaos stance and performed divine surge would this apply just to the 2d6 weapon damage or would this also extend to the 8d8 manuever damage. And I'm sorry if I mispelled manuever but it is a tricky word, full of deception and illusion.

Well....I'm reading it the same way you did. It says very plainly to reroll any damage die that roll their max on a melee attack. Seems to describe extra manuever damage, sneak attack, extra damage from flaming swords, pretty much anything you roll as part of a melee attack (though possibly not spells released from spell-storing weapons or touch-attack-punches)

Edit: In fact re-reading this and some Sage Advice thingys, I'd say it applies to everything except Spells released through the attack. But that's mainly because I wouldn't want a crusader adding the 8D8+2D6+(crazy damage spell his wizard friend cast into his sword) and then rerolling all the max damage.
