Fanged Fremont 07-25-06, 04:05 PM	I need telepathy for a character concept and am looking for ways to obtain it. I know the mindbender prestige class is one way, but unfortunately this character isn't a caster type and will probably be good (mindbenders have to be non good). Any help would be appreciated.

wonlee76 07-25-06, 05:16 PM	A command word magic item that casts Telepathic Bond X/days. Certain "Outsiders" and other monsters might have a natural telepathic ability. Those are pretty much it.

Almacov 07-25-06, 05:48 PM	Just play as a Ghostwise Halfling if you're playing in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting, or if your DM will allow it in his campaign. Awesome, awesome subrace... or perhaps I'm just a halfling-addict. >_>

Helm of telepathy would be the way to go if you are not a caster, or using just core races. Is not that expensive, and you can even implant one suggestion per day (DC 14...)
kelvinaw273 07-25-06, 06:45 PM	Kalashtar from the Eberron setting are natural telepaths, they have a 1/day use of Mindlink at a manifestor level equal to half the kalashtar's level (minimum of 1). If Kalashtar take the Telepath (psion) class (favoured class is psion) they gain some bonuses as well. As a bonus, Kalashtar are typically Good aligned. I presume that psionics are not used in this campaign, or else you would take a psion (telepath) level to get telepathy, or else you do not wish to spend levels as a manifesting class. It would help to know exactly what you are looking for ...
