In a level 10 camp thats starting soon, High point buy

What strikes me as a excellent combo of classes, is,

in order of obtain: Barbarian 1/ Druid 3/ Wizard 3/ Arcane Hierophant 3

I calculated it out and such, with what I need for Arcane Hierophant.

Bab 4 - 2 from druid, 1 from wizard, 1 from Barbarian.

Knowledge(Arcane) & Knowledge (Nature) 8- Easyly obtained from skills

2nd level arcane and divine - 3rd level druid/wizard.

Trackless step - Level 3 druid.

Now I coulda taken another level in druid, and gained another spell level, another special and stuff, but I decided that barbarian would be much more benificial.

Wildshape allows me to go out in front of battle and fight, but hp rarely changes much if at all, so I figured I needed the addition d12 hp boost, and by taking it first, usually max die - hp.
Also, the Fast movement in any form is nice!, and the rage for when I'm outta spells.

So in the end, before assembling the character, I have a Magic user/shifter type that can move around the battle feilds, has a MUCH KICKASS animal companion/familiar, Change around magic specials (aka no arcane spell failure if I wanna wear armour, or using just wisdom for spells, or int!) Wildshape if used correctly make up for any usual Physical misgivings, (also natual spell rocks!) and at level 10, I can stay in form for 20 hours stright if I so choose (as long as I pick a form worthy for the day)

and this class is niceer than the mystic thurge almost cuz I get both it's abilitys, and extra!.

Am I missing anything?

Am I missing anything? :confused:Only that a straight-classed caster would be on the verge of sixth-level spells, while you're one level away from fourth. ;)

But seriously, this is a good game to take a theurge-esque class in, as: (1) You get to start out in the midst of your PrC levels, so no suffering through the early part of the game where you would suck hard, and (2) it's a high point-buy game, so you don't have to worry as much about your MAD.

The DMs starting the game at the point when the theurge classes really come into their own. Provided you don't start getting jealous when the seventh-level spells and above start being dropped by the big casters out there (and it sounds like you're going for a more support/backup fighter role, anyway, so that ought to not be a problem for you), you'll do fine.

You're missing your 20% exp penalty unless you're a Half-Orc or some other race with Barbarian as a Favored Class. Either that or you need to take some manner of extra favored class feat and start with either Druid or Wizard as a Favored Class.

In other, more wierd news, it looks like you're my bizzaro-world counterpart, at least in the name department.

I haven't really read much about Barbarian...but aren't they illiterate? Can you even cross class a barbarian into wizard? Seems like cheese to me...

Barbarians can buy off their illiteracy, the don't gain it if you multiclass into them from another class, and whenever you take a non-barbarian level you learn how to read.

As for the OP, Druid3/Wizard3/MT2/AH10/MT2 is the "traditional" way to build an AH, the build sets you up with 1 more level of both Druid and Wizard spells than the build you're looking at, eventually culminating in 9th level spells on both sides at level 20. It also means that half the time you'll only be one level of spells behind a dedicated caster rather than two.
