So, this isn't a question about how Spell Failure works, but more of how to negate it. I think I remember there being a way to increase armor and decrease the spell failure on it, but I'm not sure anymore because I cannot find it. Does anybody know a way that this can be reduced? I'm trying to make a warforged wizard and I just don't want the 5% spell failure around all the time. Thanks.

Well, making it of mithral for some extra money won't work, if you're a warforged. I presume you don't want to spend the extra feat on Unarmored Body either. So what about getting your composite plating made +1 (so it can take special effects) and Twilight (armor enhancement from PHBII, price +1 bonus, reduces ASF by 10%)?

BoED is a 3.0 source, PHBII is a 3.5 source. If the same ability appears in two different sources, the newer one overrules the older one. You should check for differences between the two printings, something important may have changed.

Dude... I can't find it in PHBII, nor the DMGII or any of my other books.

You sure you're thinking of the right book?

PHBII, page 21 (odd place for it, I know).

Oh. You're right. Sorry about that. It is a weird place for it. Thanks for the advice though!

It's also in the Magic Item Compendium.

BoED is 3.5. BoVD is 3.0.

Oh whoops, I thought those both came out around the same time. My mistake.
