Armor Class help [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-30-05, 09:54 AM Heay I was wondering about how high armor class can go. It can go over 2 right but then how can some creature hit you :confused: ,just wondering, :P thanks

01-30-05, 10:03 AM I've personally got a lvl 20 character that has an AC of 77 (81 if hasted). I wasn't even really focusing on AC either. I've seen some builds on these boards with it much higher than that. Like this one http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=291310 he/she has 154.

01-31-05, 12:57 AM mind you, only 8 of that 154 is armor. That said, every time you roll a twenty, you hit, regardless of what your +to attack is.

01-31-05, 01:32 AM Wasn't saying I had the highest. Just giving an example. I also posted a link to one that has an extremely high AC (scroll up, second post).

We don't play if you roll a 20 its an automatic hit. You just get to roll again and add the 20 to whatever you roll. Like-wise, if you roll a one, things still get an AoO and you get to roll another time, but you -20 to whatever your roll next is.
