08-15-04, 05:14 PM I'm trying to craft an Armor for my Wizard. I know that Mithral drops the Arcane Spellfailure by 10% and somehow Celestial Armor cut the Arcane Spellfailure by 15%. My PrC drops it by 5%, at current, and I'm looking for other Enchantments and Enhancments that may be placed into the items creation to lower it's Arcane Spellfailure.

08-15-04, 05:23 PM Don't wear armor, just make a set of Bracers of Armor. For every 2 caster levels you can make a +1 bonus to AC.

08-15-04, 05:32 PM Unfortunatly Harmor those dear Bracers cost more than my armor at basicly every level, especialy since I'v got Magic Artisan feat. But I'm more interested in the Armor since I'm in the melee a lot, I'm a Wizard/Fighter/Thorn Knight who likes to smack big swords with her bigger swords. ;p

08-16-04, 04:20 AM There is an armor enhancement in the Book of Exalted Deeds that cuts spell failure down, but since the BoED is not SRD material, I really can't say much more. Happy hunting.

08-18-04, 01:41 PM There is a spell in UE called Improved Mage Armor you might to check out and scribe into your book.

Also check out Moon Ivy armor from A&E (not the cable channel).

If you can get enough arcane spell reductions, maybe you should go for light armor, dastana, and some + dex items.

In Races of Faerun there's Glassteel armor. Costs a pretty penny, but cuts ASF by 10% and check penalty by -3, increases max dex by +2 and comes with an inherent armor bonus (varies with the type; heavy +3, medium +2, light +1). It also weights 50% lesss and counts as one category lighter than the base armor.

Example:
Glassteel Field Plate
Type: Medium
AC bonus: +11
Max Dex: +3
ASF: 25%
Check penalty: -3
Weight: 25 lbs.
Cost: 26,500 gp
Hardness: 20, HP/inch thickness: 40
