calronmoonflower 04-23-07, 06:50 AM	The dragon disciple doesn't give you an increased caster level, just a couple new spells. I'd suggest an Enlightened Fist from the Complete Arcane. Also Spellwarp Sniper from the Complete Scoundrel gives you extra damage with ray attack.
runestar 04-23-07, 06:55 AM	The concept seems cool, I admit, though I would not recommend it from a mechanics perspective, since I do not feel that assassin has any synergy with dragon disciple whatsoever. You just end up spreading yourself out so thin that you are unable to excel in any area. You have a bit of everything - sub-par fighting capabilities, a bit of sneak attack, limited low level spellcasting, a variety of misc abilities... I guess it is okay if you want to do it for the flavour, just bear in mind that your character will be fairly weak.:)
starfire311 04-23-07, 08:53 AM	wait a sec, this may not be too bad... we are loking at something like a monk 5/assassin 8/Dragon Disciple 7... how about monk 4/fighter 1/assassin 8/DD 7 This may not be too bad, and could be kinda cool. You get FoB, 2 monk bonus feats, evasion, still mind, Ki strike(magic), slow fall 20ft, monk AC/unarmed strike, +10ft speed fighter bonus feat SA +4D6, Death attack, Poison Use, +4 Save vs Poison, Imporved Uncanny Dodge, Hide in plain sight +3 Natural Armor, +4 strength, +2 Con, Breath weapon 4D8, Claws and bite, Blind sense 30ft BAB +15, Fort +13, Ref +12, Will +11 Spells/day 3/3/3/6 not a great tool box of abilties, but could be a useful 5th character.
prax 04-23-07, 04:07 PM	ok lets assume i want to take all of these up to max lvl exept for monk then wouldnt i gain some usefull abiltys now if only there was a way to let me take monk lvls agian afterwards ps im in a campain that goes to epic lvl
RainerNader 04-25-07, 06:52 PM	If you're going Dragon Disciple, you really need to take it up to 10th level since that's where you get the bulk of the benefits. I'd suggest taking 6 levels of monk (which is a good jumping off point for monk anyway), 1 level of assassin, 10 levels of DD, and filling out the rest with assassin levels.
