Hi there. I'm new in here. Dont know if I got this posted the right place but I'lll try.

I haven't understood it fully. When you attack and make an attack roll, you add your strength ability modifier to the base attack bonus? And when you hit and make the damage roll, you add your str modifier again? Or this that wrong.

Oh, by the way. It's Melee I am talking about. And without Misc.+

Thanks:)

attack roll: BAB+Str. mod.+misc.
damage: weapon dmg+Str+misc for one handed weapon
weapon dmg+ 1.5*Str. mod. (rounded down) for two handed weapon
weapon dmg+ 0.5*Str. mod. (rounded down) with a light weapon
used for an off hand attack

Just another thing. Yesterday I made and human fighter and, in the starting package there stands I got an bastard sword and a wooden shield. The Bastard sword is two-handed, so why give me and shield? Can i use the shield or is there something wrong here?^^

A bastard sword can be wielded in one hand if you have the Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Bastard sword). Without it it is treated as a martial two handed weapon. By the way, which source is the alternative starting package from that you are refering to ?
