My (way overpowered) Wilder (8 class levels and +2 LA) had to fight in an arena. This is what the DM put me up against: (also note that my DM ignores any/all monster/NPC creation rules, so BAB isn't tied to HD and such)

A woman bonded into an incredible suit of powered armour, with plenty of goodies:

-she's Huge, but with no associated penalties
-despite having armour in the +15 AC range, she still gains her Dex bonus of about +5 AC
-armour is a part of her, so can't be targetted seperately
-can fire about 4 poisoned darts all at the highest attack bonus and still move
-can apparently perform 2 full actions/turn as she moved, fired off 2 fireballs and moved again
-can fly with perfect maneuverability
-hits for about 20-30 damage with armoured fists alone, twice that with her weapons
-wields a chain which allows her to swing you about at will after succeeding a single grapple check with it (and her grapple bonus is in the 20s at least)
-has built-in healing spells (about Cure Moderate Wounds level I think) that engage automatically and don't count as an action)
-can turn Invisible
-has DR and several energy resistances (dunno how strong)
-starting HP was about 80-100 I think, considering how much damage I dealt it

I got her down to 18 HP before I ran out of power points. Then she was able to take my two L6 astral constructs out at her leisure (I didn't know she could fly when I created them, so no wings...) and eventually knocked me out.

So what would you say her CR was?

Your DM cheats big time, is that a common thing in your group (if it is then fair enough.)? Or is just because of your wilder?
It seems to be an epic opponent, there's nothing like that in the standard monsters books, especially anything like that below CR20. What's your character like?

Well, the fact that I almost won should tell you something about my Wilder ;)
Basically a normal Elan Wilder, but with about twice the normal number of powers known and the Elocator's Scorn Earth ability, and very high ability scores (a 20 in my primary manifesting stat)

My DM does this kind of thing all the time, like I said, he doesn't follow monster creation rules, so BAB, saves etc. aren't tied to HD, for example. It's not really so bad (who cares about BAB/HD ratio, in the end?) but it gets annoying when opponents break some fundamental rules like taking 2 standard actions per turn or not suffereing penalties for iterative attacks. It's something that really throws me off balance, as you might imagine.

If it's one rule for the dm and another for players, the situation is even worse.
If the monster/character creation rules are not followed then CR is not applicable. You guys are on your own, have fun.
