In the campaign im currently playing, I am a 4th level Bard, and plan to multiclass into a druid when I reach my next level(trying to take the fochlucan lyrist prestige class). To try and prepare for the armor restriction of the druid, I want to buy an Ironwood chain shirt, but can't find out how much it costs, or even if its possible.

There is an amusing feat from Spy d20, called "Unlocked Potential"

"Choose an in-class skill. Your maximum rank in that skill is increased by 3. Can be taken multiple times.

So in theory, a Rogue 2 (for the Evasion), Bard 2, Druid 1 would be able to qualify, by taking Unlocked Potential twice.

Ignoring Wuggadad's non-sequitur... Ironwood is a spell, according to my SRD. Therefore, to make armor permanently Ironwood, you would need to pay for a spellcaster to make it so. But if you mean Darkwood, that's something else entirely.
