next level im about to became a bear warrier and i wanted to know whats my damage dice gonna be?, is it the same damage dice that the bear has in the monster manual or do i keep the damage dice from the weapon

for exemple: if i use a great axe and i have 18 str then i do 1d12+6, then i change into a black bear, i get +8 to my str so now i do ?d??+8..

so what i want to know is, what is my new damage dice.

thanks in advance

Maybe your char should take a different path.

Worrying bears would seem to be a dangerous occupation.

worri·er n.

Word History: Worrying may shorten one's life, but not as quickly as it once did. The ancestor of our word, Old English wyrgan, meant “to strangle.” Its Middle English descendant, worien, kept this sense and developed the new sense “to grasp by the throat with the teeth and lacerate” or “to kill or injure by biting and shaking.” This is the way wolves or dogs might attack sheep, for example. In the 16th century worry began to be used in the sense “to harass, as by rough treatment or attack,” or “to assault verbally,” and in the 17th century the word took on the sense “to bother, distress, or persecute.” It was a small step from this sense to the main modern senses “to cause to feel anxious or distressed” and “to feel troubled or uneasy,” first recorded in the 19th century.

Wow fallabel, your a tough nut to please. Edited to correct misspelling of fallabel's handle to not get flamed by him. :D
You use the damage dice per the bear in the MM modified by your new Str.
A black bear's claws deal 1d4+your Str mod and their bite deals 1d6+1/2 your Str mod.
When you bear shape you Str becomes 26 right? If so the mod for 26 is +8 so your total damage is 1d4+8 for a claw and 1d6+4 for your bite.

You do claw/claw/bite damage. If doing a full attack, you do not get a second attack from your BAB. Claws get full strength damage. Bite gets 1/2 strength damage. Claws get full BAB. Bite gets -5 to hit.

If you are single attacking, bite gets no penalty.

I think it's a move action to change form. That's how we play it. Might not be correct.

do i have to do claw/claw/bite or can i just attack normaly, claw/claw for the first attack and then another claw/claw for my second attack?

Attacking with a weapon works very differently than attacking with natural weapons. I will try and explain the differences.
Attacking with a weapon grants you iterative attacks. That is when your Bas Attack Bonus reaches +6 you gain a second attack at +1, that is with a -5 penalty from the full BAB. This is usually written as BAB +6/+1. Similarily when your BAB reaches +11 you gain a third attack with a -10 penalty from the full BAB. This would be written as +11/+6/+1.
Attacking with natural weapons works completly different. The main difference is there are no iterative attacks with natural weapons. The second is during a full attack action you can make a single attack with each natural weapon you posses. When you only take the attack action (a single attack) you can make your single attack with any natural weapon that you possess.
For example a dire wolf has only a single natural attack, his bite. If the dire wolf was advanced so that his BAB was +6 the wolf would still only have a single attack. In fact the wolf will never gain additional attacks with his bite, he will always be limited to a single attack.
A bear on the other hand has three natural weapons. 2 claws and a bite.
A bear has a BAB of 2. Not counting the Str bonus its full attack would look like this. 2 claws +2 and bite -3. The bear gets an attack with each claw at its full BAB because the claws are the bear's primary weapons. All other weapons the bear has are considered secondary natural attack and are made with a -5 penalty to its full BAB (regardless of how many more natural attacks the creature has.) The bear will never be able to make more than 2 claw attacks (one for each claw) and a single bite attack.
The bear can only make a single attack when it takes the attack action (single attack), but can make that attack with any single natural weapon at its full BAB. So the bear could attack with either its claw at +2 or its bite also at +2.

Note: everything posted above does not take into account things such as the haste spell, mutil-fighting, or any other special abilities, feats, or spells. It is possible for things such as haste to give you an extra attack (able to be made with any natural weapon at its normal bonuses to hit.)

Hopefully this will help you understand the way natural weapons work.

Actually, bear warrior is a very weak class compared to the amount of damage you can deal with a regular great axe (not even counting in power attacks or magical enhancements).

The only way to make it keep up is to get a set of magical gloves that allow you to wield weapons in any form that has hands. I think they're detailed in masters of the wild perhaps? Otherwise you're pretty much a grappler.

Probably very true, but you can't always be wearing armor and carrying weapons. In those cases, this is a fun surprise for those who attack you.
Plus it is a very flavorful prestige class, even if it is not powerful.
Also it helps if you have a druid who might be able to buff you and himself and his companion with animal growth (assuming you gain the animal type when you change shape, don't have the book in front of me.)

Even with a total of 5 levels that really give you no abilities, who is going to expect that you would be able to turn into a Dire Bear? That +16(I think) to Str can really turn the tide of battle, especially if you morph during every Rage, which you can.

Wow! By maximum level you can turn yourself into an unequipped CR 7 creature.

FANSTASTIC!

This is a very good PrC. . . if you don't want to min/max your barbarian to utmost damage potential.
