| Krystophan11-22-04, 12:28 PM | Having always played melee characters in the past, I have decided to try out a multi-class fighter/wizard and progress it to a bladesinger. The problem I'm having is figuring out how you choose spells and what not. I undertand about the bonus spells, and how many spells can be cast per day, but how many spells do I have in my spellbook? Is there a limit that I can have at a wizard lvl of 2? Or can I just throw every spell I can think of and just memorize the ones I want during the campaign? Throw some adivice and tips at me because i'm quite confused. |
| Felonious Monk11-22-04, 12:35 PM | A first level wizard gets three 1st-level spells plus one per point of INT bonus, in addition to all wizard cantrips. Over the course of adventuring, a wizard is assumed to be figuring stuff out in his spellbook, and as such, gets two spells of a level she can cast at each new level. This is in addition to the spells she may scribe in her spellbook (at a cost of 100gp per page). At second level, therefore: 3+INT bonus+2 1st level spells All 0 level spells Any scribed in spellbook from other sources. Hope this helps (the information is under 'spellbooks' or something in the Wizard character entry). |
