I was supposed to report them to you last week, but the session was cancelled... So, the "doom" happened today! Here's a detailed rundown:
1) # of PC's: 5 (maybe 6 soon)
2) Level: 8
3) Classes: Bard (8), Rogue (8), Cleric (8), Fighter/Devoted Defender (5/3) (will be referred as the Fighter), Ranger/Devoted Defender (5/3) (will be referred as the Ranger)
4) People There: Bard, Rogue, Fighter, Ranger (The Cleric wasn't there for the second campain, and he hasn't bothered to come back.... I think he's kicked out due to transportation means for his Cleric (Read below))
5) Situation: The party was trapped inside of a room, about 30 feet in diameter, by 2 Beholders. The party went into the mountains to find out what happened to a lost "convoy" of a local military fort. In the room, there was gold, a common looking box (magical (Detect Magic), which my character took), a Crystal Rod (also magical (Detect Magic), which the Bard USED to have), and a nest with eggs in it.
Notice: The DM created a new means of reproduction in Beholders (they're not Asexual in this campain)
6) The Beholders had some sort of marriage between them
7) How we got into the Beholder's cave: 120 feet of sliding down a rope
8) There was an "intersection" (one part leading to our rope, the second leading to the "Nest Room," and the other leading to, at the time, an unknown area).

About the PC's:
Fighter: I'm the Fighter, and one of the 3 D&D Gurus in our club (it's a school club). I can act like I have all the answers, or like I'm the leader, but I do shoot down ideas (mostly the ones the Bard made). However, I did use some logic to, um.... Well, I didn't cheat. I looked up info on Beholders in between sessions, and I used that as a basis for my plan. However, my "planned plans" didn't go into effect; only an improv one did.
Ranger: In all honesty, you'd be suprised that he livs past the first battle. He's worthless if he's not a follower, and no leader.... And tends to be a mercenary (which, all in all, is his ultimate downfall). Still, his character is for dishing out and taking damage.
Rogue: In all honesty, we've had 2. 1 dropped out right before today's session, but a firend of mine joined in, taking the Rogue's place. My friend (the new Rogue) is the second D&D Guru, and has just about every book at his disposal.... Please, don't ask me how. Anyway, he's a good PC, hw thinks, and he knows how to keep a plan together.
Cleric: He's one of those "I'm going off by myself to do nothing" people, and a horrible spellcaster (no luck with spells). He's in another campain that I'm in, and, out of all the attacks made, he's done 2 useless things: Color Spray (both times). Overall, he's just stupid when it comes to D&D.
Bard: "Cast first, ask questions later" suits her during the session. However, she actually had the logic to ask me what her spells do today, so that came in luck. However, she think's she's invincible because she's a spellcaster, and, therefore, she thinks she'll be one of the last to die. And I quote: "I KNOW I'll be the last to die." "Why do I need a spare character?" And, she also has a thing of blaming me for things, and hating me when I'm right. (an Example will be later).

it's not that I think lowly of the others, it's just the truth. I'm not the best D&D player, and none of them are. I'm suprised we survived.

I think that's just about it...
--------
How We Survived:
We had about 2 weeks to decide on plans of action. I promptly posted a thread and asked for ideas. Ideas were repeated (in all honesty), but each person contributed valuble information.

However, not all ideas were made by.... logical means. Example:
1) Ask the DM for ideas
2) Ask the DM for info (I wanted to see if they were Lawful, but he went nowhere close to the topic..... I'm an idiot for doing that)
3) D&D Tip Line: I'm suprised that even happened. One PC talked to a friend, and the firend called a Tip Line for advise. Advise: cut the rod into a prism to reflect the magical eye rays back. Good in theory, but totally illogical.
4) Threaten the eggs.
5) Burn the eggs (very short lived)
6) Hold the eggs hostage
7) Save my own life and forget about the others.

What happened:
So, the group was in the room. I made my character run over to the eggs, and one move (and failed Disinegration attempt) later, I was hiding behind one of the eggs. When the Dm said "The Beholder keeps his big eye on you," I tell the Ranger to send his character to the other side of the room, and the second Beholder follows him. Unfortunately, he was Charmed for 1 Round (not bad, but he was threatening to hurt me if his Failed Saving Throw was for something bad... Quite Frankly, he was quarenteed to make a Fort Save).

After that happens, I tell the Bard to cast Blindness on one of the Beholders. The Rogue then tries to shoot it, but misses.

Now, there's one Beholder following my character, and another one screaming loudly. My character gets Charmed for 5 rounds, and the Bard casts Blindness on the second one. The Bard then promptly casts Expitious Retreat (SP?) on herself, and runs out of the room. When she tries to run for the rope, she hears a "bellowing voice coming from the tunnel." Right about then is when the DM says that the eggs are hatching. The Rogue and Ranger carry my character to the intersection (he got hit, which, for any reason whatsoever, negated the effect of Charm on him), and the whole group runs in the "unkown" direction.

We enter a naturally formed part of the cave, with 2 large, stone doors. My Fighter and the Ranger barely managed to close the doors in time (with one adult, non-blinded Beholder and 4 baby Beholders following us), to buy us some time. There was some sort of pillar, which had a circular hole cut into it. I look at the Bard, and, before I can mention anything, she says "Should I use the Crystal?" I tell her to, and she inserts it.

Then, she gets mad. She had to make a Reflex Save to avoid a Lightning Bolt attack from putting the Crystal in (she blamed it on me for some reason, like it was my fault that the DM decided to put a magic trap there), which opens up another door (a "portal," the DM called it). The Bard tried to take the Crystal, but we told her she couldn't. So, running at full speed (120 feet each), we made it out in time. The adult Beholder bashed the door down, and a piece of stone hit the Crystal, causing it to break, which caused the portal to close.

That is how I saved my party without ANY casualties (though damage was taken.)

Wow, your DM went easy on you. Beholders consistently failing saving throws against 2nd-level spells is one thing, but Beholders don't bash through doors - they Disintegrate them.

well, he just rolled low... Really low... And failed... However, from what my informants say, we'll eventually face the Godess od Drows (I can't think of her name). However, I'll go with the safe assumption that we'll be much higher than level 8.

Lolth.

Hint: If you've ever got Lolth on her last legs and find yourself in a position to backstab (or sneak attack in 3E) her, do not take a moment to make some witty cool remark beforehand. Don't ask how I know this is a bad idea... :embarrass
