So, here's the deal. I'm in a campaign in a home-brewed low magic world, as well as arcane magic being viewed with suspicion. Recently, my character was hit with a blindness spell. Our group has me, a 5-th level wizard, two home-brewed base classes, a 4/1 sorc/rogue, and 5th level monk. I was dumb and didn't take Dispel Magic as one of my 3rd level spells, and we have no other caster who can cure my blindness. Our group is really poor, so we don't have the 750gp to pay for me to be cured. Any suggestions on how to survive until we get the money for a cure?

Recap:
Low-magic world
Very poor (50gp between the 5 of us)
No dispel magic in the group.

Maybe you could find a wizard who needs a spell you have, or someone in the group has something he wants, and you could work out a trade.

Sounds like a plot-hook to me. Cleric/Wizard has a chore he needs done, and in return he will get rid of your blindess (hopefully before he sends you off on the quest).
