| bolower11-24-05, 04:43 AM | Hi all ! I'm new here and I'm trying to create a funny character : a female dwarf, paladin of Berronar TrueSilver. I also look for feat (racial feat, initiate,...) and a PC for her. If somebody could help me, it would be kind. Thx you very much. |
| Arkangel11-24-05, 05:07 AM | Don't go for a funny character go for a power gamers strategy! Just Kidding!! |
| bolower11-24-05, 07:27 AM | Perhaps, funny is not the word. But I want that my character is pleasant and playable but I have some difficulties with the technical side... and it's for it that I need some advices! :D |
| Deacon Liadon11-24-05, 04:25 PM | You'll need to provide us with more information if we're going to be able to help you. What technical parts do you need help on for example? How exactly do you want her to be "funny"? If it's little quirks you want then one thing you might have is a "Dwarven Book of Grudges". It's a useful little role-playing tool. Basically, whenever someone offends your character you can write him.her up in the book. Perhaps the book is hereditory. When you encounter someone you can look up their name in the book of grudges to see if their great great great grandfather insulted you grandmother. |
| bolower11-24-05, 04:47 PM | I like this idea of "Dwarven Book of Grudges". I'll try it :D She serves as the guardian and protector of dwarven clans; she's an elite dwarf female warrior. She ensures that dwarven warriors return to their hold and clan alive afte going to war. As such, she accompanies dwarven armies to battle, but instead of immediately joining in the fray, she chooses a high vantage point from which to observe. If and when dwarven warriors are in danger of being overrun, or when a dwarf is too badly wounded to withdraw, the Valkyrie charges to the rescue. she also maintains lore records and family histories. She encourages truthfulness, obedience to law, peaceful harmony, and governance of greed and goldlust. She strives to further the good health and good character of all dwarves. She heals the sick and injured, attempts to treat, eradicate, and stops the spread of disease, develops antidotes to dwarfsbane In short term, she's a diplomat, a holly warrior, a lorekeeper with sacred heart. She'll wear a chain mail and a huge mace. |
| Deacon Liadon11-24-05, 05:02 PM | From the description I'd say you'll want a good charisma score and wisdom score. As feats I'd say either improved initiative or negotiator as feats that would suit the backgroud. For skills I'd go with diplomacy, sense motive and heal. |
| High Octane11-24-05, 06:16 PM | Dwarves dont have females. They pop out of holes in the ground. |
| Szat11-24-05, 06:37 PM | Uhhh, yeah they do too have females......read the race description.. |
| Deacon Liadon11-24-05, 06:40 PM | I believe that High Octane was joking. |
| bolower11-25-05, 01:12 AM | It's true, I never see a player playing a dwarfish female ;) but... i'm perhaps the first  As feats I'd say either negotiator and moradin's mile, or combat expertise and allied defense as feats that would suit the backgroud. Hight charisma and wisdom and for skills diplomacy, sense motive and heal. But i don't know for the PrC... Cleric? Ollam? Dwarf defender? Hospitaler? or why not Singh Rager ???? Not easy to choose  |
| bolower11-25-05, 03:43 PM | Has anybody a suggestion? |
| Deacon Liadon11-25-05, 04:10 PM | You could just go straight paladin. PrC's aren't always necessary for a background. And finding one that a paladin can multiclass into freely can be difficult. |
