| Drachasor06-06-06, 07:49 PM | I was thinking about some of the new classes, and some of the parties that can be formed are interesting (at the very least from an academic perspective). In particular I thought about parties that got little time to rest and recover spells. So let us consider a party of 4 (or more if you want). How should we fill it up so that they hardly ever need rest? For instance the Warlock (sorta-kinda new) and the Dragon Shaman would make a great pair in such a party. Both have constant blasting. The Warlock has some more utility magic (and the ability to easily use any magic item). The Shaman can heal everyone to half their max hitpoints, give other party boosts, and is pretty good in melee. I think it would be hard to beat those two for a spot in the party. What are the best classes for the other two spots? Certainly melee beyond the Dragon Shaman is needed. Is a Fighter best for this? (one of the few times he would be). I can see some use for a Paladin though, for even though his healing is limited he can help the party last quite a bit longer given the Dragon Shaman's auras. Even answering this leaves the question of who gets the fourth spot? A Rogue? Thoughts? -Drachasor PS. I'd type more but I have to study! |
