Howland Reed 08-09-07, 06:23 PM	In general, I find multiclassing really useful only if you intend to go to a prestige class. If you don't plan to take a prestige (but really, most people do), stick to one class. That said, the best multiclass combo in my mind is Warblade/Crusader. Reasons: --Full BAB, good HD, good saves...both have Fort strong, Crusader lets you add Cha to Will, Warblade lets you add Int to Ref (yes, I know you have MAD up the wazoo, but so do most multiclass). --Maneuvers from all disciplines except Desert Wind/Shadow Hand (my least favorite 2). --Because of the way initiator levels work, you don't lose as much as a caster...in fact, because of the high number of maneuvers and stances at low levels (5 mnvrs and 2 stances in 2 lvls for Crusader), you can GAIN by multiclassing...if you wait until 5th level to take your 1st Crusader level, you can get 2nd level maneuvers with your initial 5. If you wait until 8th to take your 2nd Crusader level, you can take a 3rd level stance as your second stance. If you waited until 20th to take your 2nd Crusader level, your IL would be (1/2 of 18, or 9 + 2 = 11)...you could take Aura of Perfect Order as your Crs2 stance. Basically, multiclassing works best with one main class and some dips (IMO). Other good ones... --Dipping fighter in any melee build...free feats are nice. Ftr2 or Ftr4 can often fit in. --Dipping warblade in any melee build (assuming it's not your base class, that is)...free maneuvers are even nicer, and Wrb2 can fit most anywhere. --Dipping paladin in any Cha-based build that doesn't mind being LG/CG...add your best ability to ALL saves? Score! A Paladin of Freedom/Bard/Warlock/Marshal/Sorcerer/etc... --Dipping cleric for the domain ability. Not always good, considering many of them base the ability off of Cleric class level. War is nice, though. --Dipping druid for a pet. --Dipping ranger or rogue at 1st level for the free skill points. --Dipping swashbuckler for insightful strike...this fits nicely with warblade, or maybe beguiler.
Drag0nUL 08-10-07, 06:24 AM	I have a few more to add: Dipping 2 levels of monk/rogue for evasion with decent reflex saves builds( preferably rogue; rogue 3 gives you evasion and 2d6 sneak attack, as compared to monk 2 that gives evasion, flurry of blows and wis to AC) Dipping a level of barbarian in some melee builds. +4 Str and Con is always nice to have (actually, if you are going for barbarian-oriented prestige classes, I have found that barbarian 1-2/fighter 4 is more effective than barbarian 5-6).

Rykler 08-10-07, 11:52 AM	I thought a barbarian/ plane walker PrC specialized in desert would be great. No more being tired after a rage is a real savior...throw in some fighter or rogue and you got a powerful build
