Book emergency [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-18-05, 08:59 AM I need to know which book is better for extra fighter feats, complete adventurer, or complete warrior.

I have an inexplicable feeling it's the complete warrior, but my buying decisions are not reknown for being well thought out.

08-18-05, 10:03 AM Complete Warrior has more combat feats, so it has more fighter bonus feats. Complete Adventurer has feats pertaining to skills, so it has feats for performing actions other than just attacking in combet. You should probably get Complete Warrior.

08-18-05, 10:06 AM The Complete Warrior has a lot of feats for... warriors, obviously. Most of them were before published in Sword & Fist. They have been revised though, but you might be able to find S&F for a cheaper price.

The Complete Adventurer has a lot a feats too, but they are more appropriate for a light fighter (light armor, light weapon), as most of them come from Song & Silence, which was dedicated to rogues and bards. Same remark than for S&F (price).

So if your fighter is traditionnal style (plate+big sword), get Complete Warrior.
If he is more swashbuckler style, get Complete Adventurer.
But if he is low-level, just go with the Player's Handbook. The feats there should not be underestimated, and they are often required for other feats.

08-18-05, 10:13 AM If you're only looking for feats, check on Crystal Keep (see link in my sig), all the feats are there, as well as the 2 first level of many PrC.

Not even 1/4 of the feats in CW are in S&F. Many of them are new, or first appeared in several different other sources.

Don't buy Sword and Fist. Just Don't. You'll be sorry, as you'll have to work super hard to fix/retrofit feats to work when you could have spent the same money on CW and got 3x more feats that actually work.
