Uh oh. I'm in a clericless party.
That almost always ='s death.
I'm not the best role-player, so I don't have a huge, intricate story line to adhere to. I'm the only one who can effectively multi-class.

I want to be able to fight, hense picking ranger, they get awesome abilities in 3.5.

However, without a cleric this party is doomed, for sure.

Should I multi-class to cleric? Or Druid? And how do I build my ranger.

I'd like some suggestions for feats etc.

I'm going for two-weapon style.

Suggestions/advice appriciated

Try asking on the character optimization board.

Though a wand of cure light wounds would go a long way for your clericless ranger.

What's your alignment/level/etc? because there are several PrCs that a ranger can get into which get spells, and at later levels, rangers themselves get spells

BASIC CHARACTER BACKGROUND FOR HELP WITH PRESTEIGE CLASS AND CHARACTER GROWTH.

My Character, Hrist, is the oldest of three noble siblings and the next heir to the family estate. She's the only daughter and resents both failing her father by being female and the expectations of Female Heiresses in her town (which is, of course, to marry equally rich boys and have male babies.) She finds the town stagnating, and spends as little time as possible there. She wants to explore the world, see the limits of nature and beyond. She wants to adventure, but her mother refuses to allow her to. She scoffs, and spends a lot of time watching the fighters and copying them, and hanging out in the Elf Embassy's many forested odds and ends. As the eldest sibling of two brothers she is a tomboy, and she strives to be a positive role-model and a good example to her siblings. Above all else she wants to toughen up and protect her brothers. She'll fight to the death to keep them alive as she sees herself as expendable. But she is not so noble as to be a Paladin, she adores Pelor and his teachings but her true home is not in a church, but in the woods. She is a character who wants to protect other characters. She's responsible, diciplined, and honorable. Her animal companion will be an eagle.

Remember, rangers get Endurance for free at third level, wasting a feat on it would be just that, wasting a feat! Rangers don't get combat style until second level, and Ambidexterity is not a feat in 3.5 anymore.

As for multiclassing into cleric/druid, it might work. Three levels Cleric and you have Cure Moderate Wounds, at the expense of delaying the rangers special abilities. If you think that it is worth it, good for you.

And by the way: Not a single ability score under 16??? :OMG!

Your weapon penalties are off. It should be -4 for the primary hand and -4 for the off hand.

Two Weapon Fighting

If a normal character (i.e. a character without the multiattack and/or multidexterity feats) wields a second weapon (fights two handed), that character can get one extra attack per round with that weapon. Fighting in this way is very hard, however, and the character suffers a -6 penalty for regular attacks with the first hand and a -10 penalty to the attack with a other hand. A character can reduce these stiff penalties in three ways:
* If a character's second weapon is light, the penalties are reduced by 2 each.
* The Ambidexterity feat reduces the penalty against the second weapon by 4.
* The Two-Weapon Fighting feat reduces both penalties by 2.

The scimitar and morning star are both one-handed weapons, not light weapons.

I think it's obvious they're playing 3.0..

I KNOW! The DM had us roll 5d6 and drop the two lowest and I rolled 16's and 17's and an 18. I was upset in a way, but she has faults to compensate. I don't abuse the stats... I hope. The dice NEVER roll that well for me so I guess I can be glad.

I mean I played a dwarf with 7 inteligence once thanks to hateful dice. The dice Gods were making up for it.

I'll talk to the DM about it. I'll ask the other PCs what they think too.

Thanks for the help, and no, I'm using the 3.5 Ranger.

Well, if you ARE using 3.5 ranger, then you only get your combat style at second level where you choose between archery and TWF. 3.5 has also eliminated Ambidexterity, so you know only take two-weapom fighting.

Personally, I'd recommend going Druid 20 with a small shield and scimitar, but that's just me.
