Can a warlock roll a crit? [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-22-07, 01:39 AM I was just curious can a warlock roll a crit with a Eldritch blast? Its a ranged touch attack but its not a spell nor a attack, and i cant find it in the complete arcane or any book i looked into so far.

Any one got a clue?

That only works if the spell in question requires an attack roll AND deals damage (including ability damage and negative levels). You cannot critically hit with, say, a Ray of Enfeeblement, because it doesn't deal damage; it imposes a penalty.
